Sanokaapa joku viisas, miten saan heivattua tästä koneestani ärsyttävän Vista Basic käyttiksen ja tilalle Xp:n?
Ei näköjään mene vaan niin, että tyrkkään Xp-käyttis-rompun sisään ja formatoin ja asennan Xp:n kun asennuksen yhteydessä kone väittää ettei ole kovalevyä laisinkaan.
Eli miten tämä käyttiksen vaihto ja formatointi-hässäkkä toimii tällasen kannettavan (HP 530) kanssa???

Tuossa koneessa näyttää oleva SATA liitäntä kovalevylle (eli Serial-ATA) ja XP ei tunnista sitä suoraan, asennus onnistuu kun lataat asennuksen aluksi SATA-ajurin, en muista ulkoa kuinka tuo tapahtui kun viimeisestä XP-asennuksesta on jo aikaa... Muistaakseni joku näppäin asennuksen alkuvaiheessa niin pääsee lataamaan tarvittavia lisä-ajureita.
Hämärä muistikuva että SP2 olisi tuonut tuon SATA tuen XP:hen ? Tällöin voisit ympätä asennuslevylle tuon SP2:n, tähän löytyy netistä ohjeita (tai lisää suoraan SP3?).Eli mun Xp on jo tuo Sp2 päivitetty versio.
Pitänee jostain hankkia tuo SATA-ajuri siis...- joskus harkinnut
HP:llä näyttää olevan myös kaikki WinXP-ajurit tuohon läppäriin.

Tuon SATA-ajurin asentamisesta on siellä seuraava ohje:
"1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.
2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
A diskette containing the driver is created, and the driver files are
also made available at c:\swsetup\sp36131. If you choose to cancel
diskette creation, you will need to copy the driver files to the
chosen media.
To use the diskette during a new operating system installation, complete the
following steps (choose the procedure that matches the operating system you
are running).
For Microsoft Windows XP:
NOTE: A USB diskette (floppy) drive is required to use this driver. If an
external USB diskette drive is used, ensure that it is plugged into the system
before starting Step 1.
1. Insert the operating system CD, and Power On the notebook to boot
from the CD.
2. At the very beginning of the operating system installation, the following
prompt is displayed at the bottom of the screen:
"Press F6 if you need to install a SCSI or RAID driver...."
When the prompt is displayed, press F6.
3. Later in the operating system installation, you are notified that a mass
storage device could not be detected. When this notification occurs,
press S (S=Specify Additional Device).

floppy disk, you should use the driver in Windows.

I really cannot recal the name of features I have disabled since I tried many times
but what you can do for sure is to disable every thing is the "devices settings" (the page that contains option for virtualization at its end) and this will for sure make you able to install and run windows xp

Kun kiintolevy on löytynyt tuolla kikalla ja käyttis ensin asennettu niin sitten voi jälkeen päin lisätä SATA-ajurit ja sen jälkeen buuttaa bios-asetukset. - korjaus korjaus

Itsekin vaihdoin hp 6735s läppäriin XP:n
eli biossista tarvitsee laittaa ide tila päälle,silloin kaikki onnistui
koko vista kannattaa formatoida koneesta ja laittaa puhtaasti xp,suomen hp lähettää sinulle sen vista palautus dvd:n jos haluat,itselle tuli myös kun soitin ja pyysin - vähän tuunaillu
Siis tähän 6735s amd sempron SI-40 koneeseen onnistuu melko vaivattomasti toi käyttiksen vaihto. Mites noitten ohjelmien setupit, toimiiko ne sitten XP.ssä? Vai pitääkö hakee netistä uudet?
