  1. Sentähden minä puhun heille vertauksilla, että he näkevin silmin eivät näe ja kuulevin korvin eivät kuule, eivätkä ymmärrä. Ja heissä käy toteen Esaiaan ennustus, joka sanoo: 'Kuulemalla kuulkaa, älkääkä ymmärtäkö, ja näkemällä nähkää, älkääkä käsittäkö. (Matt 13:13-14)
  2. Kaksi eksyttäjää, toinen arvostelee toistaan. Molemmat eksytätte ihmisiä harhaoppiin. Se on synti. Tekeekö toinen sen suorin sanoin ja toinen viekkaasti pyöritellen, ei tee syntiä sen vähemmäksi.

    Jos on kaksi pedofiiliä ja toinen ottaa ja raiskaa uhrinsa tuosta vaan hississä ilman ennakkovaroitusta ja toinen valmistelee tilannetta varovaisesti aloittaen kivoilla puheilla, tarjoamalla suklaata, leikkien, herättäen luottamuksen tunteen lapsessa ja vanhemmissa ja sitten lopulta raiskaa uhrin kauniilla kukkaisniityllä, niin kumpi näistä pedofiileistä on Jumalalle enemmän mieleen?
  3. Jaha, taas uusi säännös seurakuntaelämään. Kuuluukos tuo nyt siihen Ellenin terveysevankeliumiin?
  4. Just, ja Aku ankalla ei ole housuja.
  5. Jumala sallii harhaopit, kuten jehovan todistajat, adventistit, mormonit jne. Ei kannata nostaa nokkaansa ja luulla, että tuo salliminen on Jumalan tahdossa elämistä tai jopa oikein ainoaan Jumalan "jäännökseen" kuulumista.

    Ei ole käsitelty asioita, vaan ellenistisiä satuja.
  6. Uskon Raamattua enemmän kuin nettisivuja.

    Jumala loi ikuisen helvetin ja kirjoitti siitä Raamattuun tiedoksi ihmisille, että varoisivat sinne joutumasta. Se ei sovi Jumalaa vastaan kapinoivien ihmisten pirtaan. Jumala on heidän mukaansa niin halpa-arvoinen, että Häntä vastaan rikkominen aiheuttaa vain muutaman hetken kärsimyksen. Eihän tuon halpa-arvoisen Jumalan puheita helvetistä tai muistakaan asioista tarvitse sitten uskoa, vaan ne voi omassa viisaudessaan muokata paremmiksi.
  7. adventistien eksytystarua, enkelinäyissä saatua.
  8. Tuommoisen kirjan lukeminen tekee ihan yhtä hyvää ihmisen uskonelämälle kuin DaVinci koodinkin lukeminen. Jos lukee Ellenin fantasiakirjallisuutta tai jotan DaVinci-koodia, niin siitä tulee pahalle päälle. Puhahtelee, että voi mitä älytöntä ihminen voi kirjoittaa vääristelläkseen Jumalan suoria teitä. Jeesusko muka teki huorin Marian kanssa - Jeesusko muka meni omituiseen rakennelmaan taivaalla eikä Raamatun taivaaseen.
  9. "1. yksin Raamattu"
    Mutta Raamatussa ei ole tutkivaa tuomiota, ei maallisen temppelin kopiota taivaassa, ei saatanaa taivaan valtaistuimella eikä viimeisenä ihmisten syntien kärsijänä, ei tapahtumia ennustettuna vuodelle 1844, ei sapattia taivaaseen pääsyn ehtona eli sinettinä, ei sunnuntaita pedon merkkinä, ei uutta eliasta ennustettuna Johannes Kastajan jälkeen tulevaksi...

    "2. koko Raamattu"
    Mutta Raamatussa puhutaan ikuisesta helvetin kärsimyksestä ei-uskoville ihmiselle, siellä puhutaan israelilaisten uudesta etsikkoajasta, kun pakanoiden aika on päättynyt....

    "3. Raamattu itse itsensä selittäjänä"
    Eipä antanut Ellen White Raamatun selittää Raamattua, vaan siihen tarvittiin lukematon määrä enkelinäkyjä ja Ellenin seuraajat ovat perustaneet tutkimuskeskuksia ja yliopistoja selittääkseen Raamattua ellenismin mukaan....

    "4. Hengelliset asiat on selitettävä hengellisesti"
    Ja sitäpä täällä ei ole adventistien toimesta havaittu. Kaikki selitetään ihmisjärjen ja tunteiden ja Ellenin kirjoitusten mukaan. Itsekin olet kymmeniä kertoja selittänyt, kuinka Jumala ei voi pistää ihmisiä ikuiseen helvettiin, kun sinun tunteesi eivät sellaista kestä. Samoin Ellen selitti helvetin pois omilla tunteillaan.

    "5. historiallinen yhteys"
    Ettehän edes perustele Herran päivän eli sunnuntain lepopäivänä vietton alkua historiallisesti oikein, vaan pistätte sen alkamaan vasta satoja vuosia myöhemmäksi kuin se alkoikaan.

    "6. kirjallinen yhteys"
    Mikä ihmeen kirjallinen yhteys? Ellenin kirjojen kautta tietysti.

    Vai ette tarvitse tunnustuskirjoja! Kyllä näytätte tarvitsevan, koska ennen kasteelle menoakin on hyväksyttävä "Seitsemännen Päivän Adventistien Opilliset Peruskäsitykset" eli 27 opinkohtaa (nyt 28), 103 sivuinen kirja.

    Kovasti puhut raamatullisuudesta, mutta käytännössä kaikki mitä täälläkin Raamatusta olet puhunut, on Ellenin esiymmärryksellä käsittelemääsi ja vallan kummalliseksi vääntynyttä. Mukailet vain Elleniä tietäen ja tietämättäsi.
  10. Konstantinus siunasi sunnuntain, Ellen White siunasi lauantain, Muhamed siunasi perjantain. Varmaan kaikki viikonpäivät ja useimmat vuodenpäivät ovat jonkun ihmisen siunaamia. Monet viikonpäivät ja vuodenpäivätkin ovat myös erilaisten noitien, saatananpalvojien, epäjumalanpalvojien jne. kiroamia. Pitäisikö näistä nyt sitten julistaa joku päivä pahaksi jonkun pärstäkertoimen mukaan ja joku toinen hyväksi jonkun pärstäkertoimen mukaan.

    Eikö jo tämä päivistä jauhaminen täällä riitä? Olisikohan aika alkaa miettiä sinunkin jo uskoon tulemista ja huilia minä päivänä huilit.
  11. Sanot: "Vasta kuukausia tämän jälkeen Ellen sai näkynsä sapatista, joten hänen näkynsä vain vahvisti Raamatusta löytyneen totuuden tulleen Jumalalta."

    Sama kaava joka kerta. Ellen kuuli/luki jotain ja kas kummaa - heti tulee näky juuri tuosta aiheesta. Muka Jumalalta. Ja tuolla "jumalallisella" näyllä sitten huijataan ihmiset uskomaan Ellenin edustamaan asiaan.

    Ellen näki ensimmäisessä näyssään arkin taivaassa ja siellä oli Aaronin sauva, manna-astia jne., mutta hän ei nähnyt laintauluja eikä sapattikäskyä loistamassa. Vasta kun Bates puhui sapatista, niin jopa alkoi taas lykätä Ellenille kiireesti "jumalallista" näkyä ja kas, sama arkki taas taivaassa, mutta nyt siellä loistikin neljäs käsky. Että semmosta.

    Ellenin ensimmäinen näky:
    AND AS WE WERE GAZING AT THE GLORIES OF THE PLACE OUR EYES WERE ATTRACTED UPWARDS TO SOMETHING THAT HAD THE APPEARANCE OF SILVER. I ASKED JESUS TO LET ME SEE WHAT WAS WITHIN THERE. IN A MOMENT WE WERE WINGING OUR WAY UPWARD, AND ENTERING IN; HERE WE SAW GOOD OLD FATHER ABRAHAM, ISAAC, JACOB, NOAH, DANIEL, AND MANY LIKE THEM. AND I SAW A VAIL WITH A HEAVY FRINGE OF SILVER AND GOLD, AS A BORDER ON THE BOTTOM; IT WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL. I ASKED JESUS WHAT WAS WITHIN THE VAIL. HE RAISED IT WITH HIS OWN RIGHT ARM, AND BADE ME TAKE HEED. I SAW THERE A GLORIOUS ARK, OVERLAID WITH PURE GOLD, AND IT HAD A GLORIOUS BORDER, RESEMBLING JESUS´ CROWNS; AND ON IT WERE TWO BRIGHT ANGELS – THEIR WINGS WERE SPREAD OVER THE ARK AS THEY SAT ON EACH END, WITH THEIR FACES TURNED TOWARS EACH OTHER AND LOOKING DOWNWARD. IN THE ARK, BENEATH WHERE THE ANGELS´ WINGS WERE SPREAD, WAS A GOLDEN POT OF MANNA, OF A YELLOWISH CAST; AND I SAW A ROD, WHICH JESUS SAID WAS AARON´S; I SAW IT BUD, BLOSSOM AND BEAR FRUIT. AND I SAW TWO LONG GOLDEN RODS, ON WHICH HUNG SILVER WIRES, AND ON THE WIRES MOST GLORIOUS GRAPES; ON CLUSTER WAS MORE THAN A MAN HERE COULD CARRY. AND I SAW JESUS STEP UP AND TAKE OF THE MANNA, ALMONDS, GRAPES AND POMEGRANATES, AND BEAR THEM DOWN TO THE CITY, AND PLACE THEM ON THE SUPPER TABLE. I STEPPED UP TO SEE HOW MUCH WAS TAKEN AWAY, AND THERE WAS JUST AS MUCH LEFT; AND WE SHOUTED HALLELUJAH – AMEN. (A word to the little flock)

    Ellenin näky, kun sapatista oli puhuttu:
    FOURTH COMMANDMENT HAS HALO OF LIGHT IN HEAVEN
    "In the autumn of 1846 we began to observe the Bible Sabbath, and to teach and defend it. My attention was first called to the Sabbath while I was on a visit to New Bedford, Massachusetts, earlier in the same year. I there became acquainted with Elder Joseph Bates, who had early embraced the advent faith, and was an active laborer in the cause. Elder B. was keeping the Sabbath, and urged its importance. I did not feel its importance, and thought that Elder B. erred in dwelling upon the fourth commandment more than upon the other nine. But the Lord gave me a view of the heavenly sanctuary. The temple of God was opened in heaven, and I was shown the ark of God covered with the mercy seat. Two angels stood, one at each end of the ark, with their wings spread over the mercy seat, and their faces turned toward it. My accompanying angel informed me that these represented all the heavenly host looking with reverential awe toward the holy law which had been written by the finger of God. Jesus raised the cover of the ark, and I beheld the tables of stone on which the Ten Commandments were written. I was amazed as I saw the fourth commandment in the very center of the ten precepts, with a soft halo of light encircling it. Said the angel: "It is the only one of the ten which defines the living God who created the heavens and the earth and all things that are therein. When the foundations of the earth were laid, then was laid the foundation of the Sabbath also." (1T 75; 2SG 82)

    Kaksi järjetöntä fantasianäkyä, joissa ei ollu hituakaan raamatullista totuutta.
  12. Tuo näky nyt ei ollut muutenkaan mikään jumalallinen näky miltään osin, mutta ne osat mitä Ellen piilotteli myöhemmin olivat tärkeitä piilotella.

    Ensinnäkin tuo osa, joka oli suljetun oven opin perustana. Suljettu ovihan ei toteutunut. Vuosi 1851 tuli ja meni eikä Jeesus tullut eikä sitän ennen oltu saatu käännytettyä 144.000 milleristiä Ellenin oppeihin. Muita ei voinut käännyttääkään, koska he olivat jo tuomitut, heillä ei ollut mahdollista tulla oikeasti uskoon.

    Toiseksi tuo osa, jossa puhuttiin arkista taivaassa oli kiusallinen, koska Ellen ei siinä nähnyt, että neljäs eli sapattikäsky olisi loistanut. Ellenin kuultua sapatista Batesilta hän vasta sitä seuranneessa näyssä näki uuden näyn ja siinä oli sama arkki taivaassa ja kas kummaa sapattikäsky oli alkanut loistamaan.
  13. Adventismiin kääntyminen on harha-askel. Kenenkään ei pidä tulla eksytetyksi adventismiin, ei uskovan eikä ei-uskovan. Adventismiin eksyttäjälle Raamattu lupaa: "Mutta joka viettelee yhden näistä pienistä, jotka uskovat minuun, sen olisi parempi, että myllynkivi ripustettaisiin hänen kaulaansa ja hänet upotettaisiin meren syvyyteen. (Matt 18:6)

    Yrität vielä saada luotua positiivista mielleyhtymää vihjaamalla adventin aikaan. Adventti kääntää ihmisten katseet Jeesukseen, mutta adventismi kääntää ihmisten katseet Ellen Whiteen, ellenismiin ja karmeaan eksytykseen, josta suosta on vaikea nousta.
  14. Lähdet tulkitsemaan (mielitermisi!) taas Raamattua Ellenin pohjalta. Hagia esiintyy hebrealaiskirjeessä myös niissä kohdissa, joissa nimenomaan viitataan maassa olleeseen kaikkein pyhimpään. Itsekin kirjoitit ” 9:25 ta hagia” eli ”Eikä hän mennyt uhratakseen itseänsä monta kertaa, niinkuin ylimmäinen pappi joka vuosi menee kaikkeinpyhimpään, vierasta verta mukanaan,”. Samoin kirjoitit ”13:11 ta hagia ” eli ”Sillä niiden eläinten ruumiit, joiden veren ylimmäinen pappi syntien sovitukseksi kantaa kaikkeinpyhimpään, poltetaan ulkopuolella leirin.” Näissähän puhutaan maallisen pyhäkön kaikkeinpyhimmästä ta hagia´na. Eihän ylimmäinen pappi mennyt kerran vuodessa pyhäkköön/temppeliin eikä kerran vuodessa ”pyhään”, vaan sinne menivät kaikki papit kaiken vuotta. Ainoa paikka, johon kukaan ei saanut mennä koko vuonna ja yhtenä päivänä vuodestakin vain ylipappi oli kaikkein pyhin. Siispä hagia on noissa kohdissa kaikkeinpyhin. Sama ”ta hagia” on noissa muissa hebrealaiskirjeen kohdissa. Suomalainen raamatunkäännös ei siis ole väärässä kääntäessään hagian kaikkein pyhimmäksi.

    Mutta tosiasia on, että Paavali kirjoitti hebrealaiskirjeen nimenomaan hebrealaisille, ei siis pakanoille. Pakanat eivät tarvinneet kirjettä maallisen temppelin vertauksista, heillä ei tuollaista temppeliä ollut koskaan ollut. He eivät tienneet maallisesta kaikkein pyhimmästä ja mistä sinne meneminen oli vertaus. Juutalaisilla taas oli temppeli, joka oli vertauskuva taivaallisista/hengellisistä. Juutalaiset hyvin tiesivät, että kukaan ei saanut mennä kaikkein pyhimpään. Jos meni kuoli. Nyt olikin auennut mahdollisuus mennä kaikkein pyhimpään. Maallinen temppeli oli siis vain vaivainen vertauskuva, mutta kun Paavali selitti entisiä temppelin aikoja, ristin tapahtumia ja nykyistä aikaa, niin se valaisi asioiden tilan hyvin hebrealaisille.

    Nyt onkin perin järjetön tuo Ellenin pyhäkköoppi. Miksi pakanoiden tai pakanakristityidenkään pitäisi palata vanhan liiton temppeliin, vertauskuvaan, esiasteeseen. Ei ole mitään mieltä katsoa taaksepäin, vaan on jo päästävä eteenpäin. Nykyajan pakanat tosin tietävät maallisesta temppelistä, kun ovat lukeneet Vanhaa testamenttiä ja Hebrealaiskirjettä. Mutta Paavali ei ryhtynyt silloisille pakanoille temppelivertauksia selittelemään eikä niitä tarvitse selitellä nykypakanoille eikä pakanakristityillekään.

    Kyse on hengellisistä asioista. Ellen materialisoi ihan kaiken. Mikään ei ollut hengellistä. Hän oli muka hengen ulottuvuudessa ja tarvitsi siivet!! Mikähän Redbull tai muu sarvekas ne hänelle antoi. Adventismi vie kaikessa takaisin vertauskuviin ja puhuu niiden termeillä. Tyytyy varjoihin, vaikka kaikki varjot täyttyivät jo Jeesuksessa. Varjot häipyivät, kun hengelliset toteutuivat, mutta ellenismissä on se luulo, että varjot muuttuivat materiaksi. Hengellinen versus materiaalinen. Hengelliset ihmiset eli uskovat ymmärtävät ja käsittelevät asioita hengellisesti, lihalliset eli ei-uskovat ihmiset ymmärtävät ja käsittelevät asioita lihallisesti eli järjellä ja tunteella.

    Jumala pyhittää läsnäolollaan sen missä Hän on. Entisaikaan Jumala pyhitti läsnäolollaan temppelin kaikkein pyhimmän. Taivaan Hän pyhittää istumalla taivaan valtaistuimella (eikä se istuminenkaan ole mitään konkreettista, missä kankut puutuu!) Hän olemisellaan pyhittää taivaan. Missä Jumala on, on kaikkein pyhin, vai luuletko, että jokin vielä pyhempi kuin Jumala! Pyhittäähän Hän myös uskovat ihmiset, tulemalla heihin ja olemalla heissä.

    Jeesushan oli aina ollut taivaassa, joten ei se Hänen sinne palaamisensa ollut mitenkään niin ihmeellistä. Ihmeellistä oli se, että Hän mursi tien taivaaseen myös ihmisille. Ristillä Jeesus mursi synnin muurin ja nyt on jokaisella pääsy valtaistuimelle Jumalan luokse. Siis kunhan tulevat uskoon. Synti esti ihmisiä, ilman Jeesuksen ristinuhria ei kukaan olisi päässyt Jumalan luokse. Jeesus meni ruumiissaan taivaaseen ja niin meilläkin, jos olemme uskovia, on pääsy ruumiissamme aikanaan taivaaseen.

    Taivas ei myöskään ole mikään paikka x kilometrin päässä maapallosta, vaan se on toisessä ulottuvuudessa, hengen ulottuvuudessa.

    Sanot: ” Siis ei niin, että Pyhä=maailma, Kaikkeinpyhin=taivas, vaan maanpäällinen pyhäkkö (ensimmäisen liiton ta hagia) versus taivaallinen pyhäkkö (uuden liiton ta hagia).”

    Ihan sama kuin kysyisit, haluanko mieluimmin syödä hiekkaa vai sontaa. Ei tuolta pohjalta voi keskustella. Syöminen kohdistuu aivan muihin aineksiin.

    En voi edes auttaa sinua, jos aina vain lähdet esittämään Ellenkertomuksia, siis tuota fantasiauskontoa perustaksi. Jos hampaasi olisivat ristissä ja soittaisit minulle, että ne eivät vain ala oikenemaan, mikähän on vialla tulepas auttamaan. No tulisin auttamaan, mutta huomaisin, että hammasraudat ovatkin sinulla varpaissa. Eihän siinä auta yhtään mitään, että muuttaisin hammasrautojen asentoa varpaissa, eivät ne hampaat siitä suoristuisi. Hammasraudat pitäisi kokonaan irrottaa ja laittaa ne hampaisiin. Nyt tilanne on vastaava. Sinä olet eksynyt harhaoppiin ja väärän enemmän-kuin-profeetan lumoihin. Jos nyt lähden keskustelemaan sinun lähtökohdistasi ja oikomaan vähän tuota ja tuota väärää oppia, niin et sinä sillä tule hengelliseksi. Hengelliseksi ei tulla oikomalla ns. ihmisviisautta. Nyt sinun pitää heittää koko Ellen ja ellenismi menemään ja lähteä etsimään Jeesusta. Ja minun pitää saarata sinulle lakia ja evankeliumia, jotta tulisit synnintuntoon ja tuntemaan hengelliset totuudet. Haluatko aloittaa tältä pohjalta vai haluatko pitää raudat varpaissa?
  15. Tässäpä yksi kertomus Ellen Whiteltä:

    "The Lord has given me a view of other worlds. Wings were given me, and an angel attended me from the city to a place that was bright and glorious. The grass of the place was living green, and the birds there warbled a sweet song. The inhabitants of the place were of all sizes; they were noble, majestic, and lovely. They bore the express image of Jesus, and their countenances beamed with holy joy, expressive of the freedom and happiness of the place. I asked one of them why they were so much more lovely than those on the earth. The reply was, "We have lived in strict obedience to the commandments of God, and have not fallen by disobedience, like those on the earth." Then I saw two trees, one looked much like the tree of life in the city. The fruit of both looked beautiful, but of one they could not eat. They had power to eat of both, but were forbidden to eat of one. Then my attending angel said to me, "None in this place have tasted of the forbidden tree; but if they should eat, they would fall." Then I was taken to a world which had seven moons. There I saw good old Enoch, who had been translated. On his right arm he bore a glorious palm, and on each leaf was written "Victory." Around his head was a dazzling white wreath, and leaves on the wreath, and in the middle of each leaf was written "Purity," and around the wreath were stones of various colors, that shone brighter than the stars, and cast a reflection upon the letters and magnified them. On the back part of his head was a bow that confined the wreath, and upon the bow was written "Holiness." Above the wreath was a lovely crown that shone brighter than the sun. I asked him if this was the place he was taken to from the earth. He said, "It is not; the city is my home, and I have come to visit this place." He moved about the place as if perfectly at home. I begged of my attending angel to let me remain in that place. I could not bear the thought of coming back to this dark world again. Then the angel said, "You must go back, and if you are faithful, you, with the 144,000, shall have the privilege of visiting all the worlds and viewing the handiwork of God."     Eli tässä Ellen kertoo, että hänelle annettiin siivet ja sitten hän meni muihin maailmoihin. Johonkin kaupunkiin, jossa ruoho oli vihreää ja asukkaat kaikenkokoisia. Ellen kysyi, miksi asukit olivat paljon ihanampia kuin maassa. He vastasivat totelleensa Jumalan käskyjä eivätkä langenneet tottelemattomuuteen, kuten maan asukit. Siellä oli kielletty puu, josta ei saanut syödä hedelmiä, tai he lankeasivat. Sitten Ellen meni maailmaan, jolla oli 7 kuuta. Siellä hän näki Eenokin. (”Ja kun Hanok oli vaeltanut Jumalan yhteydessä, ei häntä enää ollut, sillä Jumala oli ottanut hänet pois.” 1 Moos 5:24, Jumala siis otti Eenokin eli Hanokin elävänä taivaaseen, mutta Ellen näki hänet toisella planeetalla!?!) Eenok sanoi Ellenille, että hän vain vierailee tuolla planeetalla ja asuu kaupungissa.

    A Word to the ”Little Flock” kirjassa Ellenin mies kertoo, kuinka milleristi merikapteeni Joseph Bates ei uskonut Ellenin näkyjen olevan Jumalalta, mutta kun Bates oli kiinnostunut astronomiasta, näki Ellen näyn:

    “At our conference in Topsham, Maine, last Nov., Ellen had a vision of the handy works of God. She was guided to the planets Jupiter, Saturn, and I think one more. After she came out of vision she could give a clear description of their Moons, etc.” (James White, A Word to the "Little Flock", s. 22)

    Kokouksessamme Topshamissa, Mainessa viime marraskuussa Ellenillä oli näky Jumalan käden teoista. Hänet ohjattiin Jupiteriin, Saturnukseen ja ehkä yhdelle muulle planeetalle. Kun hän tuli ulos näystä, hän antoi tarkan kuvauksen niiden kuista ym.
  16. Eihän kaikkein pyhimpään saanut mennä kukaan lamppuja sytyttelemään eikä niitä palamassa pitämään. Ylimmäinen pappi sai mennä sinne kerran vuodessa. Ja taivashan on kaikkein pyhin. Jeesus meni kaikkein pyhimpään taivaaseen noustessaan.

    My First Vision
    As God has shown me IN HOLY VISION the travels of the Advent people to the Holy City and the rich reward to be given those who wait the return of their Lord from the wedding, it may be my duty to give you a short sketch of what God has revealed to me. The dear saints have GOT many trials to pass through. But our light afflictions, which are but for a moment, will work /WORKETH for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory--while we look not at the things which are seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. I have tried to bring back a good report and a few grapes from the heavenly Canaan, for which many would stone me, as the congregation bade stone Caleb and Joshua for their report. (Num. 14:10.) But I declare to you, my brethren and sisters in the Lord, it is a goodly land, and we are well able to go up and possess it.


    While I was praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell upon /0N me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them, when a voice said to me, "Look again, and look a little higher." At this I raised my eyes, and saw a straight and narrow path, cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the city, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the beginning /FIRST END of the path, which an angel told me was the midnight cry. This light shone all along the path and gave light for their feet so that they might not stumble. AND If they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the city, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and said the city was a great way off, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising His glorious right arm, and from His arm came a GLORIOUS light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted, "Alleluia!" /HALLELUJAH Others rashly denied the light behind them and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out, leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and lost sight /GOT THEIR EYES 0FF of the mark and of LOST SIGHT OF Jesus, and fell off the path down into /IN the dark and wicked world below. IT WAS JUST AS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO GET ON THE PATH AGAIN AND GO TO THE CITY, AS ALL THE WICKED WORLD WHICH GOD HAD REJECTED. THEY FELL ALL THE WAY ALONG THE PATH ONE AFTER ANOTHER, UNTIL Soon /- we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming. The living saints, 144,000 in number, knew and understood the voice, while the wicked thought it was thunder and an earthquake. When God spoke /SPAKE the time, He poured upon /ON us the Holy Ghost, and our faces began to light up and shine with the glory of God, as Moses' did when he came down from Mount Sinai.


    BY THIS TIME The 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious star containing Jesus' new name. At our happy, holy state the wicked were enraged, and would rush violently up to lay hands on us to thrust us into /IN prison, when we would stretch forth the hand in the name of the Lord, and they /THE WICKED would fall helpless to the ground. Then it was that the synagogue of Satan knew that God had loved us who could wash one another's feet and salute the brethren with a holy kiss, and they worshiped at our feet.


    Soon our eyes were drawn to the east, for a small black cloud had appeared, about half as large as a man's hand, which we all knew was the sign of the Son of man. We all in solemn silence gazed on the cloud as it drew nearer and became lighter, /LIGHTER AND BRIGHTER glorious, and still more glorious, till it was a great white cloud. The bottom appeared like fire; a rainbow was over the cloud /IT, while /- around it /THE CLOUD were ten thousand angels, singing a most lovely song; and upon/ON it sat the Son of man. ON HIS HEAD WERE CROWNS His hair was white and curly and lay on His shoulders; and upon His head were many crowns /-. His feet had the appearance of fire; in His right hand was a sharp sickle; in His left, a silver trumpet. His eyes were as a flame of fire, which searched His children through and through. Then all faces gathered paleness, and those that God had rejected gathered blackness. Then we all cried out, "Who shall be able to stand? Is my robe spotless?" Then the angels ceased to sing, and there was some time of awful silence, when Jesus spoke: "Those who have clean hands and pure hearts /HEART shall be able to stand; My grace is sufficient for you." At this our faces lighted up, and joy filled every heart. And the angels struck a note higher and sang again, while the cloud drew still nearer the earth.


    Then Jesus' silver trumpet sounded, as He descended on the cloud, wrapped in flames of fire. He gazed on the graves of the sleeping saints, then raised His eyes and hands to heaven, and cried OUT, "Awake! awake! awake! ye that sleep in the dust, and arise." Then there was a mighty earthquake. The graves opened, and the dead came up clothed with immortality. The 144,000 shouted, "Alleluia!" /HALLELUJAH as they recognized their friends who had been torn from them by death, and in the same moment we were changed and caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.


    We all entered the cloud together, and were seven days ascending to the sea of glass, when Jesus brought the crowns, and with His own right hand placed them on our heads. He gave us harps of gold and palms of victory. Here on the sea of glass the 144,000 stood in a perfect square. Some of them had very bright crowns, others not so bright. Some crowns appeared heavy with stars, while others had but few. All were perfectly satisfied with their crowns. And they were all clothed with a glorious white mantle from their shoulders to their feet. Angels were all about us as we marched over the sea of glass to the gate of the city. Jesus raised His mighty, glorious arm, laid hold of the pearly /- gate, swung it back on its glittering /GOLDEN hinges, and said to us, "You have washed your robes in My blood, stood stiffly for My truth, enter in." We all marched in and felt that we had a perfect right in the city.

    Here we saw the tree of life and the throne of God. Out of the throne came a pure river of water, and on either side of the river was the tree of life. On one side of the river was a trunk of a tree, and a trunk on the other side of the river, both of pure, transparent gold. At first I thought I saw two trees. I looked again, and saw that they were united at the top in one tree. So it was the tree of life on either side of the river of life. Its branches bowed to the place where we stood, and the fruit was glorious; it looked like gold mixed with silver.


    We all went under the tree and sat down to look at the glory of the place, when Brethren /BROTHERS Fitch and Stockman, who had preached the gospel of the kingdom, and whom God had laid in the grave to save them, came up to us and asked us what we had passed through while they were sleeping. We tried to call up our greatest trials, but they looked so small compared with the far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory that surrounded us that we could not speak them out, and we all cried out, "Alleluia, /HALLELUJAH heaven is cheap enough!" and we touched our glorious harps and made heaven's arches ring.

    AND AS WE WERE GAZING AT THE GLORIES OF THE PLACE OUR EYES WERE ATTRACTED UPWARDS TO SOMETHING THAT HAD THE APPEARANCE OF SILVER. I ASKED JESUS TO LET ME SEE WHAT WAS WITHIN THERE. IN A MOMENT WE WERE WINGING OUR WAY UPWARD, AND ENTERING IN; HERE WE SAW GOOD OLD FATHER ABRAHAM, ISAAC, JACOB, NOAH, DANIEL, AND MANY LIKE THEM. AND I SAW A VAIL WITH A HEAVY FRINGE OF SILVER AND GOLD, AS A BORDER ON THE BOTTOM; IT WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL. I ASKED JESUS WHAT WAS WITHIN THE VAIL. HE RAISED IT WITH HIS OWN RIGHT ARM, AND BADE ME TAKE HEED. I SAW THERE A GLORIOUS ARK, OVERLAID WITH PURE GOLD, AND IT HAD A GLORIOUS BORDER, RESEMBLING JESUS´ CROWNS; AND ON IT WERE TWO BRIGHT ANGELS – THEIR WINGS WERE SPREAD OVER THE ARK AS THEY SAT ON EACH END, WITH THEIR FACES TURNED TOWARS EACH OTHER AND LOOKING DOWNWARD. IN THE ARK, BENEATH WHERE THE ANGELS´ WINGS WERE SPREAD, WAS A GOLDEN POT OF MANNA, OF A YELLOWISH CAST; AND I SAW A ROD, WHICH JESUS SAID WAS AARON´S; I SAW IT BUD, BLOSSOM AND BEAR FRUIT. AND I SAW TWO LONG GOLDEN RODS, ON WHICH HUNG SILVER WIRES, AND ON THE WIRES MOST GLORIOUS GRAPES; ON CLUSTER WAS MORE THAN A MAN HERE COULD CARRY. AND I SAW JESUS STEP UP AND TAKE OF THE MANNA, ALMONDS, GRAPES AND POMEGRANATES, AND BEAR THEM DOWN TO THE CITY, AND PLACE THEM ON THE SUPPER TABLE. I STEPPED UP TO SEE HOW MUCH WAS TAKEN AWAY, AND THERE WAS JUST AS MUCH LEFT; AND WE SHOUTED HALLELUJAH – AMEN. WE ALL DESCENDED FROM THIS PLACE DOWN INTO THE CITY, AND With Jesus at our head we all descended from the city down to this earth, on a great and mighty mountain, which could not bear Jesus up, and it parted asunder, and there was a mighty plain. Then we looked up and saw the great city, with twelve foundations, and twelve gates, three on each side, and an angel at each gate. AND We /- all cried out, "The city, the great city, it's coming, it's coming down from God out of heaven," and it came and settled on the place where we stood. Then we began to look at the glorious things outside of the city. There I saw most glorious houses, that had the appearance of silver, supported by four pillars set with pearls most glorious to behold. These were to be inhabited by the saints. In each was a golden shelf. I saw many of the saints go into the houses, take off their glittering crowns and lay them on the shelf, then go out into the field by the houses to do something with the earth; not as we have to do with the earth here; no, no. A glorious light shone all about their heads, and they were continually shouting and offering praises to God.


    I saw another field full of all kinds of flowers, and as I plucked them, I cried out, WELL "They will never fade." Next I saw a field of tall grass, most glorious to behold; it was living green and had a reflection of silver and gold, as it waved proudly to the glory of King Jesus. Then we entered a field full of all kinds of beasts--the lion, the lamb, the leopard, and the wolf, all together in perfect union. We passed through the midst of them, and they followed on peaceably after. Then we entered a wood, not like the dark woods we have here; no, no; but light, and all over glorious; the branches of the trees moved /WAVED to and fro, and we all cried out, "We will dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods." We passed through the woods, for we were on our way to Mount Zion.


    As we were traveling along, we met a company who also were gazing at the glories of the place. I noticed red as a border on their garments; their crowns were brilliant; their robes were pure white. As we greeted them, I asked Jesus who they were. He said they were martyrs that had been slain for Him. With them was an innumerable company of little ones; they also had a hem of red on their garments. Mount Zion was just before us, and on the mount was /SAT a glorious temple, and about it were seven other mountains, on which grew roses and lilies. And I saw the little ones climb, or, if they chose, use their little wings and fly, to the top of the mountains and pluck the never-fading flowers. There were all kinds of trees around the temple to beautify the place: the box, the pine, the fir, the oil, the myrtle, the pomegranate, and the fig tree bowed down with the weight of its timely figs--these made the place all over glorious. And as we were about to enter the holy temple, Jesus raised His lovely voice and said, "Only the 144,000 enter this place," and we shouted, "Alleluia." /HALLELUJAH


    WELL, BLESS THE LORD. DEAR BRETHREN AND SISTERS, IT IS AN EXTRA MEETING FOR THOSE WHO HAVE THE SEAL OF THE LIVIN GOD. This temple was supported by seven pillars, all of transparent gold, set with pearls most glorious. The wonderful /GLORIOUS things I there saw I /I SAW cannot describe TO YOU. Oh, that I could talk in the language of Canaan, then could I tell a little of the glory of the better /UPPER world. BUT, IF FAITHFUL, YOU SOON WILL KNOW ALL ABOUT IT. I saw there tables of stone in which the names of the 144,000 were engraved in letters of gold. After we HAD beheld the glory of the temple, we went out, and /THEN Jesus left us and went to the city. Soon we heard His lovely voice again, saying, "Come, My people, you have come out of great tribulation, and done My will; suffered for Me; come in to supper, for I will gird Myself, and serve you." We shouted, "Alleluia! /HALLELUJAH glory!" and entered into the city. And He said, "You must go back to the earth again and relate to others what I have revealed to you." Then an angel bore me gently down to this dark world. Sometimes I think I can stay here no /ANY longer; all things of earth look so dreary. I feel very lonely here, for I have seen a better land. Oh, that I had wings like a dove, then would I fly away and be at rest! –
