Yksi tapa parantaa hologrammi-varmennuksen luotettavuutta olisi se että hologrammissa itsessään olisi koodi, jonka syöttämällä Nokian sivuille saisi sitä vastaavan IMEI koodin ja Puhelimen mallikoodin. Nyt tuon Nokian sivuilta saadun IMEI-koodin pitäisi vastata puhelimin kiinteässä muistissa olevaa IMEI:tä (*#06#) ja myös laitteen rungon IMEI:tä. Kun tehdas valmistaa puhelimen, se lähettää Nokialle tiedon puhelimen IMEI:stä, ja siitä hologrammi-numerosta jonka laitteeseen liimattiin. Nokia ylläpitää taulukkoa jossa on IMEI, hologramminumero ja mallikoodi.
