Itse ostin tehokkaan ja laadukkaan tietokoneen Windows 7 Professionalilla jota käytän pelikonsolina ja satunnaisiin työjuttuihin asiakkaiden Windowsien takia. Pääkäyttistä en ole vielä valinnut. Toistaiseksi olen pysynyt hyväksi havaitussa Ubuntu 10.04 LTS:ssä mutta sille pitäisi seuraaja keksiä.
Tiedän, että menen tällä kokoonpanolla kymmenen vuotta. Pääkäyttis vaan vaihtuu välillä.
Peruskone, perusrauta, 3D:tä tukeva grafiikkakortti ym, muistia 1GB ja käyttöjärjestelmä Linux: riittää oikein hyvin normaalikäyttöön.
Mä pysyn Ubuntu 12.04 lts käyttäjänä kunnes seuraava lts julkaistaan. Eli windows 8 jää hankkimatta. Kun kone joutaa metalliroskikseen sen korvaa Android tablet sitten.
