Intiasta tulee noin 10 vuoden kuluttua väkiluvultaan maailman suurin valtio. Nyt tämän suurvallan koulujen opintosuunnitelma on julkaistu. Sen mukaan Intia tulee siirtymään avoimen lähdekoodin ohjelmistoihin jonka ansiosta maa ei tarvitse enää piraattituotteita, siis lähinnä piraatti-Windowsjärjestelmää.
Tämä uusi opintosuunnitelma viitoittaa n. 600 miljoonan intialaisen koululaisen ja opiskelijan tulevaa IT-käyttäytymistä. Microsoftille tällä tulee olemaan suorastaan järisyttävät seuraukset.

Undoing the general trend of limiting software to office applications, which are not only ill suited for educational purposes but also tend to narrow down the view of what computers and ICT can achieve, a wide range of software applications specifi cally designed for education are introduced. Use of proprietary software would become very expensive and make the implementation unviable. Therefore, Free and Open Source software have been suggested throughout the curricula. The use of FOSS applications will also obviate software piracy and enable customisation to suit local needs.”

Linux rytistys on ollut 15 vuotta "kehityksen" alla ja POLKEE vielä samoilla jalanjäljillä !? Luuletko, että seuraavana 10 vuoden ajanjaksolla tapahtuu mahtava yllätys ja linux rypistykset alkaa toimimaan riittävän hyvin, että sitä voi käyttää samoissa "raameissa" missä Windowsi on nyt tuottavassa toiminnassa ? TUSKIMPA !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Linuxsisteilla on entisen venäjän kolhoosi tyyli tehdä 10 vuoden "lupauksia", mutta ei ole onnistunut toistaiseksi "haaveet" ja kuinkas kävi Ruskin kolhoosin ? Täys kuperkeikka ja niin on Linux rypistyskin tällä hetkellä !
