Coming to Android, the report figured out that out of all the versions, Gingerbread has the highest crash rate for Android at 1.7 percent. The figure is double than that of KitKat, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean (0.7 percent). On the other hand, iOS 7.1 has a crash rate of 1.6 percent, less than iOS 7.0 (2.1 percent) and iOS 6 (2.5 percent). It is noteworthy to add that according to the latest Google update, 19 percent are still using Gingerbread, 62 percent using Jelly Bean, 15.2 percent using Ice Cream Sandwich. On the other hand, iOS7 is now on 85 percent mark, with iOS 6 standing at 12 percent. It was surprising to note that the iPhone 5 had a lower crash rate (1.7 percent) than the iPhone 5s (2 percent). The data clearly shows that Android is far more stable than iOS, reports The Next Web.
