Yet another ethnic group from Persia.

There is yet another, very special group which came to Europe and to other areas of the world, from Persia. Their language contains a large percentage of Persian words (that indicates that they must have left Persia before the Moslem occupation which started in the 600s). That special group of people is relatively few in number, and it has served other gods and still does that, just as the Bible says the scattered, "lost" tribes of Israel would do. That ethic group is spread over the whole world, among all nations, just as the Bible says the tribes of Israel would be.

That group is persecuted and hated, just as the Jews are hated. They are not tolerated by other people, just as the Jews are not. They have for a long time been a wandering people, on the move, just as the Bible said that the "lost" tribes would be, and just as the Jews have been. Also they were gassed by Hitler, just as he gassed the Jews. That ethnic group, that "peculiar people" is, of course, the "Gypsies" and the "Travellers": The Romani people, not to forget the Domari people in the Middle East.

According to historical sources, the Romani people of Europe have their origins in Persia. Even those who claim that the Romani people supposedly came from India, draw maps which show that they came into Europe from the Persian area. The question is, did the Romani people actually spread, from Persia, both to the east (India) as well as to the west (Europe)? That is not really known; one can only make guesses. The theory about "Punjab origins" appears to be a mere opinion of someone, probably based on virtually nothing. The Romani people came to Europe partially via Syria and Egypt. The western route is said to have given them their name E-gypti-ans, later reduced to "gypsies". A note: Deuteronomy 28:68 mentions a moving of Israelites back to Egypt by ships. That must have happened hundreds of years ago. The Romani have come to Europe from Egypt. The gypsies who stayed in Egypt (today, there are around 1,000,000 of them) are called Domari, instead of Romani which is the name for those who moved on.

Back to the Romani people. Again, their language has a large percentage of Persian words. Despite that fact, some try to "trace" their language to India. A certain writer had a list of Romani words (Gypsy language) which supposedly were "related to Indian" but which in fact were old and native in (for instance) Swedish. That kind of "language tracing" is not credible. Apparently, some people first decide that a given Romani word "must have come from India" and then they set out to produce "proof" for that claim of theirs. That is not the way to go. One must also consider the fact that the Germanic languages of Europe (including German, Dutch, Frisian, English and the Scandinavian languages) are all related and belong to the language-group which is called "Indo-European". Simply: Indian and European languages have a common source. Because of that, one should of course expect them to have some things in common. But, that does not mean that the Germans come from India, or that the Romani/Domari people did. If one used the same kind of methods as some use for "tracing" the Romani language and people, then one could just as well trace the German or British languages and peoples as having come from India. Which, of course, would be nonsense.
