Yritin asentaa XPdf:ää, mut eipä sekään asennu. Kun laitan ./configure, niin loppuun tulee tälläinen ilmoitus:

WARNING: Couldn't find X / Motif -- you will be able to compile
pdftops, pdftotext, pdfinfo, pdffonts, pdftoppm, and pdfimages,
but not xpdf

Koitin viel laittaa Make install, mut sit tulee tällänen:

mkdir -p /usr/local/bin
/usr/bin/install -c xpdf/pdftops /usr/local/bin/pdftops
/usr/bin/install: tiedoston "xpdf/pdftops" tilaa ei voi lukea: No such file or directory
make: *** [install] Error 1

Onko jotain vinkkiä?

Huomasin kyllä, et tän Mandraken mukana tuli KGhostView, joka toimii ihan hyvin pdf lukijana, mut ois kiva tietää mistä mättää toi ettei saa asennettua noita.

Yleensä make installin voi tehdä vasta onnistuneen käännöksen jälkeen. Ilmeisesti tiedostoa xpdf/pdftops ei löydy, koska käännösvaihekaan ei ole mennyt kokonaan läpi onnistuneesti.

Eipä sun tarvi alkaa lähdekoodista noita ohjelmia asentelemaan. Löytyy jo valmiiksi pakattuna pakettina asennusmedialta.
Tai lukaisepa Harmaahurtan vinkit urpm -ohjelma kokonaisuudesta.

Jos lähdekoodista aiot ohjelmia alkaa kääntelemään tarvitset kehitysympäristön, joka näyttää jääneen (turhana?) asentamatta.
Valmiit binääripaketit eivät tarvitse kehitysympäristöä. (Tosin suosittelen asentamaan nekin.)

Oli mulla näköjään seki jo asennettu. Mut ei vaan toimi.
Kai se täytyy sit vaa käyttää rpm paketteja. Kaikkia ohjelmia ei vaa saa rpm paketteina.
Olis ollu hauskaa vaa saada se toimii ja oppia lisää.
No kyllähän mä tässä opinki lisää, mut tulos ei ollu halutunlainen.
