There is a way.
The best way to fight spam is not to hide or filter your email. The best way is to fight back and get even.
How do you do it?
One case:
A dealer sends 100 milj. emails promoting his pages and products. He uses a company that is specialized in spamming. Most people just get annoyed and delete the message. But maybe one in a million is interested and buys the product. That means 100 new customers. All this at a minimum cost.
So what can you do?
Well, think if every recipient of the spam would make a fake order for the product? That would mean 100 000 000 orders, of which 100 are real. One in a million! The real ones would be impossible to spot from the crowd. No sales, no income, no more spamming.
Of course it's impossible to answer every spam. But even answering just one/ day would make a great difference. Let's say you receive 20 spam messages / day, sent to a 100 milj people. If everybody answers one / day that means that each dealer gets 5 milj fake messages / day. You would need to employ 10000 people to sort that out.
You can ask for additional information, ask if you can fax in your credit card number, give a faulty credit card number that they would have to check you back on. You can do what ever a real customer would do. What you CANNOT do is using somebody else's credit card number and name. That is a felony!
Please. Forward this message to as many friends and bulletin boards as possible. Make translations to your own language. Cooperation is the only way we can win the net back
Soon companies and individuals will notice that spam doesn't pay.
