hey first you must go in bios setup. If your computer bios have a qflash utility then before you want to update bios you must first load optimized defaults then you can use qflash utility with floppy.
you must have a DOS-bootdisk. Easiest way is to make bootdisk with original DOS, Win95 or Win98. Insert floppy to floppy drive, at command prompt type format a: /s and press Enter-key. Now, copy files as instructed on BIOS update. Boot your computer with that floppy and type 'flash'. That should do the job.
Remember, if something goes wrong during update process your computer is useless. Don't fix it if it ain't broken!!!
cheers lad's! bios update went fine BUT now when i boot my comp screen goes blank till it go's to windows.
and i hear 1(one)long beep and 2(two) short beeps.
is it refering to display problems?
it's kind of hard to use bios recovery tool cos when i boot to A: i cannot see a thing!
hmmmm makes me wonder what went wrong?
integrated and separate display adapter on your computer? If so, take separate adapter off temporarily. Do the trick with integrated adapter and install the separate adapter back. That's only thing that comes to my mind.
working again!
cheers for the help! ;)
