But my biggest fear is the silence. If they destroy the power stations in Iraq and Iran, the internet will die. The phones will go black. I will be sitting here in the snow, and I won’t even know if my mother is alive or if my cousins have water to drink. I feel like if I don't get on a plane tonight, a wall of iron will drop between us and I will never, ever see their faces again. Is it better to die hungry here, or to be with my people when the last day comes? Please, tell me, am I losing my mind or is the world truly burning

Please, I am begging for any news. Does anyone know if Turkish Airlines is still flying from Istanbul to Baghdad or Erbil? I am checking the screens every minute, but everything feels like it’s falling apart. my cousin told me the borders might close tomorrow because of the ultimatu if I don't leave Finland now, I feel I will be locked in this cold land forever while my family faces the fire alone.
I am a father, and I cannot sit here eating and sleeping while my wife and sons are terrified in the dark. If the planes stop, how can a man reach his blood? I will take any risk, I will fly to Istanbul and wait at the gate if I have to. Does anyone have a brother or a friend at the airport who knows the truth? Is the sky still open for us, or has the world already decided to leave us behind?
