Ohimennen listaan tähän brittikommentteja tuosta autosta:
Toyota Yaris 1000cc Hatchback 2004
I've only had the car 2 weeks and I'm already worried. Immediately I’ve found it to be noisy with lots of irritating rattles and vibrations, its been back to the dealer once already and is due back next week because they couldn't find anything wrong I have the MMT transmission, today I was driving car, in 4th gear, slowing down to stop at traffic lights, when I took my foot of the accelerator it appeared to depress further of its own accord and leapt forward I slammed my foot on the break pedal, quickly got down into 1st gear which made no difference, the tires and breaks were starting to burn and the car kept wanting to accelerate forward. I pulled up the hand brake and managed to squeeze my foot under the accelerator pedal to lever it back up I was shaking at the end of it. The accelerator pedal was not caught by the floor mat.
A French made version this one I had lots of trouble setting of from a standing start, stalled it a lot until I realised that you have to wait a couple of seconds after pressing the accelerator Horrible to drive in heavy traffic and had a few near misses at junctions when the car just crawls away even in first gear. Noisy in the upper revs and powerless in the lower. I want my Micra back!
I have now owned this car for 18 days and, further to my original comment, I am more than happy with the car. I am delighted with the fuel consumption and I have to disagree with the ex-Yaris owner re its road handling My only grumble is I can't open the rear door (boot to you and me) easily - an in-built safety feature?
At 11000 miles experienced intermittent clutch judder when cold overnight, went off after 0.5 mile Dealership could not replicate problem - Toyota GB not helpful. Fuel economy not as good as promoted
Cheap plasticy car which does the job but fails to stir the soul. It will rattle and you will hear wind noise. the 1.3 is probably the engine to go for with a nice balance between economy and performance. Overall a boring car that gets bullied on the roads but it''s very cheap to insure, keeps going and does exactly what it says it will.
Could only get 30 miles per gallon on a run. Toyota customer services unhelpful. Dealerships could not find apparent intermittent electrical fault, which a better garage diagnosed Look out for French built Yaris'.
Back to the dealers 5 times in 4 months 1st; kept staling, could not find anything wrong 2nd; oil leak, could not get booked in for 2 weeks told not to drive it too much 3rd; in for oil seals, back the next day transmission mount hanging off 4th; same day back for knocking noise, driveshaft had fell out of gearbox, left overnight 5th; horrible noise from passenger side front when turning right out of t-junction and annoying vibration at 1500revs whilst driving Car has done 3800 miles in 4 months.
Nice car, however I have had problems within a few days of buying it brand ne the engine malfunction light came on I had lots of trips to the dealership to try and sort it out and I was treated as though I was an idiot. Toyota said the repairs had been carried out, and returned the car with the engine malfuntion light still on. I was then told the mechanic forgot to put the light switch off! Had to do a lot of complaining to get that sorted out Another issue is the hologram display having white lines going across it. I have been told that this is the way it has been designed. Has anyone else had this problem? I complained to Toyota head office and they said that no one else had problems with this I am not very happy, and will not be buying from Toyota again.
I used to own a 2001 1.3 SR Yaris 3dr model in Silver. My car had only covered 15,000 miles when I got rid of it. In my view the Yaris is a disappointing car to own and far from a relaxing car to drive and here are my paragraphs to explain why 1 Engine – The VVTi motor was thrashy when revved and gutless at low revs (I always found myself in a gear lower than I wanted to be) and the car itself was noisy and boomy at motorway speeds, particularly at around 70 mph at which point the noise became very irritating 2 Handling – The Car rolled in corners but not too alarmingly and gained composure once at speed. There was reasonable feedback from the steering but the car was too light in construction giving little grip in the wet especially on tight roundabouts or when pulling out of junctions from a standstill. The car also suffered over the commonly found speed humps. The car had a fidgety and restless ride at slower speeds on less than perfect road surfaces 3 Build Quality – The Interior had begun to rattle in a couple of places including a noise from the boot, the source of which was never located. One of the stereo speakers only worked when it felt like it, otherwise good for its class 4 Cost of ownership – The fuel economy was good as long as you drove it like your gran, otherwise no better than many more comfortable cars available with bigger engines and a better appointed interior i.e. a 1.6 focus. I cannot comment on servicing costs as I didn't keep the thing long enough to find out 5 Interior – Too much grey and the initially impressive central Digital Dash became a gimmicky distraction and were hard to read in strong sunlight. Seats reasonably comfortable with a good driving position. Clever rear seat giving increased boot space. All controls light and easy to use Conclusion – A Generally well built reliable car with smart funky looks but is let down by 1. Being too light in weight and too noisy at speed 2. Only giving good mpg if driven at a snails pace 3. An interior that is far too grey and plasticky.
As the 2nd owner of my Yaris for the first year my car ran like a dream. The interior is spacious for a small car, the dashboard is neat and the fuel economy is excellent at an average of 50mpg In inner town and city traffic the car is one of the best you could wish for, being extremely nippy and easy to park. I have previously owned a Punto, a Micra and a Corsa and all are poor in terms of drive quality in comparison to the Yaris However, over the 5500 miles I have covered during my 12 month ownership - its first service that I booked it for discovered several problems It has been back to the dealership where I purchased it from 5 times in the past month with a bad engine oil leak which has still to be resolved and gets worse with each visit to the mechanic. Toyota have not been helpful and it seems they are clueless as to what the problem is but are happy to provide numerous sealants and parts to my dealerships garage which have no effect (luckily my Yaris was purchased with a warranty). Additional extras are poor in terms of choice and value. For example, audio on the car is poor - two poor front speakers and no rear speaker and after sale CD players are extremely difficult to find and fit. I should point out I also have regular use of a Corolla and have not experienced any problems which is why I have been very disappointed and let down by the reliability Yaris.
On 27,000 miles, the gearbox failed and this cost £800 to rectify. Although just out of warranty, Toyota would not help in meeting the cost of repairs. The local dealer proved rude and disinterested, taking three weeks to finish the job. They also flatly refused to provide a courtesy car. So different to their attitude when we bought it and the sticker in the rear window 'commitment to quality' which I have removed This car is generally of poor quality, with various minor niggles, poor fuel consumption, noisy and gutless at anything over 30 mph and panels apparently made of tissue paper, picking up dents from the most innocuous of touches The repair bills have caused my current impecunious position, but when overcome, I'm off to get another Mitsubishi - the best and most reliable car I've ever owned.
A nice car to start with then gearbox started to whine now can’t get first gear. It keeps popping out when I set off.

Peugeot 206 2000cc Diesel Hatchback 2005
Having been more than happy with my previous 2.0 HDi 206 I had no qualms about buying another (although I considered the Skoda Fabia). Boy was I wrong. New car arrived with chip on bonnet and faulty electric window switch. Both fixed no problem. However it is the most awful car to drive, the engine is horrendously noisy, more like a clapped out taxi. An intrusive whine has developed when cruising or decelerating and the engine idles so erratically the whole car bounces up and down. And still the dealership denies that there's anything wrong - the noise is nothing out of the ordinary and they apparently can't replicate the idling problem. If only I'd gone for the Fabia. This is my last ever Peugeot and I can't wait to part with it!
Peugeot 307 2000cc HDi Diesel Hatchback 2004
This is my 8th Peugeot car; to date it is by far the worst! Apart from the 2 recalls (odometer & fuel system replacement) I still have the problem that has been there from new, being, the engine hesitates and judders in low revs (between 1000 & 2000 revs) making it a nightmare for urban driving (motorways are no problem).
Regardless of being back to the dealership 6 times at least, they still cannot cure it!!
One other annoying problem is the windscreen wipers designed for LHD leaving a potentially dangerous blind spot.
Would I buy another Peugeot? The answer is NO!!
Peugeot 206 1600cc CC Coupe 2004
Don't buy the 206 CC model! Nothing but problems. I've only had it two months and I'm going to have to cut my losses as I don't feel safe driving it. At slow speeds it veers dangerously across the road. The engine has already shut itself down for now reason and I had to be towed home by the RAC. It is very uncomfortable to sit in, my head bashes against the roof, the seat does not adjust well. Water comes in from the roof, there is a bad blind spot when going around corners and roundabouts it's difficult to see what's coming. Peugeot are not interested, no customer care there then! I am going to get a Maxda now, Japanese are more reliable and safer!
Peugeot 206 2000cc CC Convertible 2003
This is the worst and most wasted money I have every spend I have had the car since the end of June (6 months). It has been in the garage 4 times already The 1st time the roof got stuck down, took it in repaired it The 2nd time the roof did the same, took it in repaired it The 3rd time it felt as though the suspension had gone, so again it went in, but it turned out that the roof was banging, against something as needed sorting out And the 4th time the brakes continually squeaked and the roof leaks water everytime I turn a corner, which is nice I am now trying to claim my money back from the company If anyone is experiencing problems with there car, please e-mail me as I'm trying to get it broadcasted with Watchdog.
Peugeot 206 2000cc cc Convertible 2003
This is my girlfriends car, she had an MGF previously and wanted a new droptop.
Well if you haven't got the message from other posts here let me spell it out for you. DO NOT BUY THE 206cc Cab.....
The gearbox is clunky, the steering is so heavy it feels like the tyres are flat, as with everyone else the breaks squeal, Peugeot say this is because they are made from a soft compound and there is nothing they can do...oh apart from charge her £100 to skim the disks, which they did even though the car was under warranty. Windows don't seal correctly. Loud ticking from the engine when accelerating, took it to the dealership, they said the tappets were shot, even though the car had done less than 20k. Changed for free under warranty but it hasn't cured the noise.
The dealerships are disgusting, they'll hold your hand and kiss you in the ear when you buy a new one, but the first sign of trouble they don't want to know, and I've been to 3 dealerships in the North West. The after sales care is non existent. I had a 306 before her and had the same sort of relationship with Peugeot...my advice vote with your feet and go elsewhere. I WOULDN'T ADVISE MY FRIENDS, FAMILY OR COME TO THAT WORST ENEMY TO BUY A PEUGEOT 206cc!

Peugeot 206 1400cc Look 3dr Hatchback 2003
Don't buy Peugeot!!!!! Nothing but trouble - bought brand new - endless faults and having no joy trying to get refund or exchange Faults include broken indicator (known fault), breaks that squeal like a pig, coil system failure, intermittent stalling, intermittent electrical faults (lights not turning off, central looking not working, internal light not working etc etc) leaking windscreen, leak in footwell from door seal, leak under back seats, knocking from shock absorbers - replaced Drivers and passengers seat replaced due to not locking in place and dangerously sliding backwards and forwards unexpectedly! Bad customer service from start to finish Nice car to look at and drive when not in the garage being repaired!!! May be I'm just unlucky - but I certainly would NOT advise anyone to buy a Peugeot 206!!!!!!! Happy driving!

Peugeot 206 1400cc LX Saloon 2002
Absolutely the worst car I have ever owned!!
Apart from being terrible to drive with no engine response and a horrible driving position it has had no end of engine problems.
Engine management light keeps coming on and then the engine misfires despite having taken it to the garage and them replace the 'faulty' parts. After two years the engine has nearly fallen apart require new pulleys and belts. The car has been regularly serviced and the same Peugeot dealer in Worcestershire is unable to put the fault right in the several trips I have made to the garage.
Steer well clear from this car whether new or used. Why was this car one of the top sellers?? They are terrible!!
