Onko Kubuntussa palomuuri vai pitääkö erikseen asentaa jokin ohjelma, firestartteria ei ainakaan löydy enkä löydä muutakan palomuuriin viittaavaa.

Palomuuri Linux-jakeluissa on iptables.
Löytyy hakemistosta /sbin/iptables.
Erilaisia valmiita skriptejä löytyy pilvin pimein.
Mutta... http://www.iptables.org kertonee lisää.
Tuo mainitsemasi firestarter on yksi graafinen iptablesin päälle asennettava ohjelma.
Jokaisen Linux jakelun mukana tulee iptables-palomuuri. Et ehkä näe sitä, mutta se kyllä on siellä :) Alottelijalle iptaplesin säätö on hiukan turhan hankalaa konsolista, mutta onneksi sille on saatavilla helppokäyttösiä käyttöliittymniä. Esim Firestarter on hyvä valinta.
Miten tuon Firestarterin saa asennettua, olen kokeillut tuolla -sudo apt-get install firestarter- mutta herjaa ettei pakettia löydy.
