Nissan recall
7.12.01
Nissan has been contacting Almera owners because
of a potential engine problem in the popular
family runabout.
Customers around the world are facing a recall
of their cars because of the discovery of faulty
engine sensors.
The cars affected in Britain are 1.5 and 1.8-
litre Almera models, as well as the 1.8-litre
Almera Tino mini-MPV and 1.6 and 1.8-litre
current model Primeras.
Nissan says the fault lies with the camshaft and
crankshaft sensors, which may cause engine revs
to flutter and stall.
The company is writing to owners but stress the
problem isnt dangerous.
