Olen ostamassa GF6200 (AGP8x, 256MB) -näytönohjainta, mutta mietin sen yhteensopivuutta neljä vuotta vanhan emolevyni kanssa. Emolevy on ASUS A7V266-C. Jos joku osaa vastata, niin kiitos jo etukäteen!

Katsoin emolevyn käyttöohjeesta, että se tukee vain AGP4x:ää. Jos näytönohjain on AGP8x, eikö se siis toimi tällä emolevyllä?

Eli emosi AGP väylä on vain 4 kertainen. Jos saat näyttiksen toimimaan, niin toimii hitaammin kuin pitäisi.
Toimivuus riippuu jännitteistä.
"Jos saat näyttiksen toimimaan". Eli ei ole siis mitään takuita siitä, että tietokone edes toimii sen näytönohjaimen kanssa?

"What is .8V AGP?
.8V is the voltage requirement of new 8x AGP cards utilizing AGP specification 3.0. Motherboards supporting 8x AGP support both 1.5V AGP 2.0 compliant cards (AGP 4x) and newer .8V AGP 3.0 compliant cards (AGP 8x). The keying for AGP 3.0 cards is identical to that of AGP 2.0 cards to retain backward compatibility. A motherboard that supports 8x AGP should work fine with a 1.5V (AGP 4x video card), and a motherboard that supports 1.5V (AGP 4x) video cards should work ok with a .8V video card (AGP 8x), however in the later example the video card would only work at the fastest speed the motherboard supports (AGP 4x).

Eli emo, joka tulee 4x, pitäisi toimia myös 8x näytönohjaimen kanssa.. se vain toimii emolevyn maksimi nopeudella 4x.
Se on järjettömän hidas ohjain. Mikä sulla muuten on nykyinen ohjain, ettet vaan ole hitaampaan vaihtamassa?

Etkö tiennyt, että 6200 on paljon hitaampi kuin Ti4200?
