rh 8.0:n vaatimuksista?

Vertailun vuoksi RH 8 ja SuSE 8.1

Jostain syystä suse ei vaadi yhtäpaljon muistia kuin RH. Tämä siis paperille. En ole kokeillut RH 8:a, mutta Mandrake swappaa samassa koneessa, missä suse ei sitä tee.

Hardware requirements

SuSE Linux is suitable for all common PC hardware. A detailed list of supported hardware componenets is available online.

The following requirements should be met to ensure a smooth operation of SuSE Linux:
Processor

* Intel: Pentium to Pentium® 4;
* AMD: all Pentium-compatible processors, such as K6/II/III, Duron, Athlon, Athlon XP/MP
* IBM
* 286er, 386er, 486er and Cyrix processors are not supported

Main memory

* At least 64 MB are required for the installation with YaST2 in graphical mode; 128 MB recommended

Hard disk

* 400 MB to more than 3 GB (Personal Edition) or 6 GB (Professional Edition) for the installation of all packages
2 GB or more recommended.
* LBA48 hard disks are supported

Graphics cards

* SuSE Linux comes with drivers for common cards, including
