Monessa paikassa on eri ohjeet virkistystaajuuden muuttamiseksi. Kertoisiko joku sen varman tavan muuttaa näytön virkistystaajuus ilman X_N rikkoutumista? Eli näyttö tukee 1024*768 @ 75Hz -tilaa, mutta nyt on 1024*768@60Hz.
Distro on Ubuntu, mutta sillä ei pitäisi olla ihmeemmin väliä tässä asiassa?
NVIDIA:n näyttisajurit on asennettu.

$sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.config
Muuta sinne oikea virkistystaajuus ja tallenna tiedosto. Käynnistä X uudestaan ctrl Alt Backspace.
oit varmuden vuoksi tehdä kopion aiemmasta tiedostosta, jonka voit palauttaa jos ei toimikaan niinkuin pitäisi.
$cp /etc/X11/xorg.config /etc/X11/xorg.confic.bck -tosin tuo backup-tiedosto luodaan ilmeisesti aina automaattisesti, kun menet muuttamaan jotain tiedostoa.
Ekana voisi kokeilla tuolla:

Jos ei vieläkään korjaannu niin anna komento:
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Etsi kohta:

Ja vaihda kohtiin HorizSync ja VertRefresh näytön ohjekirjassa annetut arvot. (Ohjekirja löytyy myös todennäköisesti netistä)

Mutta summassa ÄLÄ mene antamaan mitään arvoja tuohon tiedostoon!! Pahimmassa tapauksessa saatat saada monitorisi rikki!!

Mónitori on mallia "Wings HT-7770C", manuaalia en ainakaan löytänyt netistä.
Eipä näyttänyt manuaaleja netistä löytyvän ei. Sinänsä melko riskaabelia lähteä summanmutikassa ilman tehtaan ohjearvoja muuttamaan noita, mutta voit kokeilla varovasti muuttaa tuon VertReFreshin siihen 75:een ja katsoa miten käy.
Yksi keino olisi kokeilla jollain live-rompulla ja katsoa mitkä arvot se antaa näytölle (jos tunnistaa automaattisesti merkin ja mallin, niin oikeat) Kokeilepa Knoppixella, jos sinulla sellainen sattuu olemaan.
ajurit on asennettu mutta ne pitää vielä ottaa käyttöön...konsolissa: "sudo nvidia-glx-config enable"...x uudelleen käyntiin...nvidian logo vilahtaa ja homma ok...säädöt löytyy järjestelmä-näytön tarkkuus...mikä gf kyseessä?
Kyseessä on geforce 4 mx420. Ajurit on otettu käyttöön tuolla komennollasi, ja nvidia-vilahtaa aina käynnistyksessä. Lisäksi muutin ohjeiden mukaan xorg-confista "nv" --> "nvidia"
Tuo Ubuntun oma näyttötarkkuus-kohta ei tarjoa muuta virkistystaajuutta, kuin 60hz.
Tässä on vielä varmuuden vuoksi xorg.confini:

Kokeilin edellisen veistin ohjeiden mukaan muuttaa tuohon vertrefreshiin 75, mutta se ei muuttanut asiaa (X-käynnistetty uudelleen). Myöskään se reconfigure-ei auttanut.
