I’m in my own little world,
Where not a tree does dare grow.
In a place so sad and cold,
No other life form would dare go.
I live by myself here,
No one else dare come near.
The winds are cold and bitter,
And it feels as if death is here.
There’s nothing to love here,
No life or vibrant colors or hues,
Just a gray world full of woe,
Where I stay and pay my dues.
Day in and day out I sit here,
Collecting rain in my palm.
The one melody I know by heart,
Is the rains bitter sweet psalm.
There is a tree just one,
Stretched on the open plain.
It symbolizes my imprisonment here,
And all of my cruel pain.
I’ve grown quite fond of this world,
Its grey fields and cracked ground.
There’s no light, just darkness,
And no stars dare surround.
Theres no voices here,
Unless you count the screams of silence.
The call of death surrounds me,
And I am in compliance.
Will I ever escape this,
The cruel dream that keeps me?
Locked up like a bird in a cage,
Just yearning to be free.
Where not a tree does dare grow.
