Today I watched again, this time on American television. The apparent theme was "sponges", and I’m not sure if the topic itself frightened me, or if it might have been the fact that the sponges were pink and phallic. They all took turns washing themselves with the sponges and then washed each other. Then, they washed "Nu-Nu", the, elephant-like vaccuum cleaner with the ithyphallic attachment. Po seemed to especially enjoy washing Nu-Nu’s pendulous trunk. Next, some pink jizz…oh, no, I mean custard, shot all over the place (so much for the group cleansing) so they followed the pinwheel’s orders and went outside, until Big Brother announced on the PA that it was "time for tubby Bye-Bye".
Does this strike anyone else as some sort of Orwellian perversion? This extends far beyond any sort of homosexual undertones that may have been suggested in recent months. The coincidence that the talking Po doll was recalled because its cycle of falsetto phrases included "Eh-oh," "Po Love," and "Faggot" deserves to be mentioned, but will not be dealt with here. The dumbing-down of television has reached a level at which it has become shameful, sordid and achingly perverted.
