Ongelmana on se, ettei ikkunoissa ole kehyksiä, joten niitä ei voi sulkea tai kokoa muuttaa kuin tehtäväpalkista. Muuten Beryl tuntuisi pelaavan. Yritin katsella arkistosta keskusteluja, mutta en löytänyt apuja. pistän tähän vielä xorg.conf tiedostoni jos joku viitsii sitä vilkaista.

Käyttis on siis Ubuntu Edgy 6.10
Beryl ei piirrä itse ikkunoihin kehyksiä. Tarvitset joko heliodorin tai emeraldin, jotta saat kehykset ikkunoihin. Heliodorilla voit käyttää vanhoja teemojasi, emeraldilla taas vain sille suunniteltuja teemoja. En nyt äkkiä muista saako heliodoria suoraan jostain repositorysta, mutta emeraldin saa berylin wikin ohjeiden mukaan:

Lyhyesti teet siis näin (jos käytät nvidian 9xxx -ajureita, kuten olettaisin xorg.confin mukaan):

sudo apt-get install emerald emerald-themes #asentaa emeraldin ja sille teemoja (lisää teemoja löytyy vaikkapa sivulta www.gnome-look.org)
Joo, Emerald oli asennettuna, mutta repository, mistä saa teemat asennettua ei ollut asennettu. Mutta tuolta wiki.beryl-project.org/ -linkin takaa löytyi se tieto, että Beryl pitää käynnistää Beryl-manager -komennolla, jotta kehykset näkyvät. Jos sen käynnistää pelkällä Beryl -komennolla niin se käynnistyy ilman kehyksiä. Joka tapauksessa homma toimii, kiitos vastauksesta.
