Ubuntu-7.04+SATA DVD+/-RW

Hankin tuossa HP:n AH048AA-mallisen polttavan SATA-liitäntäisen DVD /-RW -aseman. Löysin pitkän tonkimisen jälkeen HP sivun laitteelle:

Ubuntun kanssa tuli kuitenkin ongelmia levyjen poltossa (sekä CD, että DVD-levyillä). GnomeBaker ilmoittaa esim CD:n poltossa seuraavaa:

Pystyn kuitenkin lukemaan asemalla CD/DVD-levyjä, ja Gnome tunnistaa aseman oikein (työpöydälle ilmestyy aina levyn kuvake).
Minulla on SATA-kiintolevy kiinni koneessa eikä sen kanssa ole ollut mitään ongelmia.

Kernel versio on 2.6.20-15-386. Uusimmat versiot growisofs, ja GnomeBaker sekä myös K3B:stä.

Onkohan olemassa mitään keinoa jolla saisin aseman toimimaan oikein? Onko muilla kokemuksia polttavien DVD-asemien kanssa?

Sarja-ATA:han on ollut jo monia vuosia arkipäivää väylätyyppinä ja tulee 101% varmuudella edelleen yleistymään kotikoneissa. Eipä tosiaan hyvältä näytä jos Linuxin tuki S-ATA-laitteille on tätä luokkaa.
