Multiculturality is an ideology like communism. It can and it will never work. You can't have both right and left hand drive in the society.
However, people with different ethnic backgrounds can work and live together as long as they share common interests. Kokkola has proven that carefull immigration strategy can benefit both the helpers (us native finns) and the helped ones.
In the past Kokkola has accepted refugees mainly from the cultures that value hard work and stress the importance of polite manners. Those are the two most important keys to succesfull integration.
I wasn't thrilled when the last wave of refugees arrived. Sudan is an islamic nation and people originating from islamic nations have a really poor integration record throughout the western countries.
Well, it turns out that the religion can make a big difference! The refugees are christian and as such they already share a sizeable pool of common values with us. Most importantly - they like to work, a trait not commonly associated with immigrants from africa. (Yeah, I know, Somali people have mostly ruined the reputation for all africans)
I have been genuinely surprised by the good initial start of the sudaneese refugees. Keep up the good work and hopefully you'll soon find that the local community will accept you as equals.

Current immigration policy sucks ,big time. Only freeloaders are immigrating, and their large families afterwards.Skilled professional people are not interested to immigrate to Finland, they go UK, Germany and U.S.
