Nicolas Stark Computing AB (Lavasoft) is announcing the release of a new build or our popular and industry leading anti-trackware utility Ad-aware. Combining optimization and newly developed scanning technology, we have been able to increase the overall speed and efficiency of Ad-aware by up to 400% over previous releases of our 6x generation.
Using newly developed conditional and Smart Scan technology, Ad-aware can actually decide, based on previous detections during the scanning process, whether additional scanning is required. This innovation alone gives Ad-aware a clear advantage over other applications in our industry by using a dynamic, rather than reactive approach, for the detection of potential privacy and security threats.
With SmartScan comes an important note about future updates to the reference file, which you can read more about later in this announcement.
As part of our continuing commitment to providing the most advanced, safest, and efficient privacy software available, we have included a feature that allows Ad-aware to counter exploits that incorporate HOSTS file editing to facilitate browser hijacking. Users can now scan, log, backup, remove, and restore known references in the HOSTS file efficiently and safely with a few simple clicks.
Registry protection and cleaning has also been enhanced to include detection of dynamically created registry keys while improving the overall efficacy of the deep scan mode and overall improvements in the scanning engine have made the In-Depth disk scanning mode more effective while lowering CPU resource usage.

Speed – More comprehensive and up to 400% faster than any previous 6x release.
Smart scan mode – Improves speed even further and has been optimized to detect content at the root level enabling fast and efficient maintenance scanning.
Improved In-depth scan – More effective while reducing CPU resources.
Improved deep registry scan – Faster with additional registry coverage that can detect dynamically created registry keys.
Conditional scanning – Improving speed by allowing Ad-aware to decide when and where additional scanning is needed based on a previous detection during the scanning process.
HOSTS file scanning – Newly discovered exploit that uses HOSTS file editing to facilitate browser hijacking has been countered with this addition. Now Ad-aware has the ability to scan, backup, remove, and restore known references from your HOSTS file.
More efficient reference file usage – Ad-aware can now read and use more detailed information stored in the reference file.
Improved Browser Hijacker detection – Better detection for known and newly discovered Browser Hijackers.
Improved log file output – More comprehensive reporting for better record keeping.
You have two options to update your copy of Ad-aware. A zip-archive for this update has been made available to you, which includes the core file, and the latest reference file. To install the update follow one of these two methods:
1) Zip file: Click the appropriate link in either your announcement letter (registered customers) or (for the users of our free Personal edition) the link on the mirror site of your choice to download the file, choose "save target as". Save the file on your desktop. It is essential that you close Ad-aware. Unzip the archive and copy all included files into your Ad-aware folder. Restart Ad-aware.
2) Full install: Uninstall your current copy of Ad-aware before installing the new build. Please close Ad-aware AND Ad-watch prior to uninstalling your current version and then install the new build.

Important Note About Future Updates to the Reference File
Now that Ad-aware includes SmartScan, there have been some changes to the way the reference file is built. The newly designed reference file works hand in hand with the latest version of Ad-aware to bring you the new innovations described above.
Ad-aware 6.0 builds 162 and prior are not able to understand these these new reference files to their full potential. While the reference file has been written to be 'backwards compatible' with build 162 during the introduction of these new enhancements, future updates will now be fully designed to work with build 181, and will not be 'backwards compatible' with builds 162 and prior. Therefore, upcoming reference files updates will only be available for the new version of Ad-aware. Previous versions will not see updates to their reference files.
By the way, these extra additions have been incorporated into the reference file for some time. They’ve just been unused until this new version, which means the moment you download Ad-aware 6 Build 181, you’ll IMMEDIATELY be able to take advantage of the new reference file’s enhancements!

klikkaa, Language files english, rivin oikeassa laidassa olevaa pikku-kolmiota,
avautuu kielivalinnat, siirrä pystypalkkia kunnes löydät SUOMI-sanan, klikkaa SUOMI sanaa ja sen jälkeen klikkaa PROCEED niin muuttuu suomenkieliseksi.
Muista myös tarkistaa päivitykset klikkaamalla,Hae päivityksiä.
(Jos sinulla on F-securen virusohjelmiston vanhempi versio, niin Älä vaan poista LadHide3.dll tai LadHide4.dll nimisiä tiedostoa koska ne on F-securen virusohjelman Päivitysten hakuun liittyviä tiedostoja, jos ne poistat virusohjelmasi ei enää toimi!
Kun klikkaat sitten AdAwaren löytämää örkin nimeä, ennen poistamista, Oikealla korvalla ja valitset, Kohteen yksityskohdat, niin näet mitä Vaarallisuus eli Riskiluokkaa kyseinen örkki on.

AdAware näyttää kaikki Cookies eli Evästeet vakoiluohjelmina, joten teeppä ennen AdAware tarkistusta aina näin, niin näet mitkä todella on vakoiluohjelmia ja mitkä ei ole:

>Poista Evästeet, ja klikkaa avautuvaan pikku ikkunaan OK.
>Poista tiedostot,laita avautuvaan ikkunaan ruksi,poista kaikki off-line sisältö, kohdan eteen ja klikkaa siihen OK.

Nyt voit katsoa AdAwarella löytääkö enää mitään.
Tuo Evästeiden ja (väliaikaisten internet) tiedostojen poisto kannattaa tehdä vaikkapa päivittäin, mutta ainakin ennen AdAwaren käyttöä niin tietää mitkä todella on vakoilukomponetteja.
Uusin AdAware 6 build 6.181 on huomattavasti nopeampi kuin aiemmat versiot, kannattaa asentaa tuo uusin versio, ensin täytyy poistaa vanhempi AdAware koneestaan.
Itse kokeilin tuota ohjelmaa ja näytti nopeammalta kuin ennen mutta sitten huomasin että se onkin - tee pikainen järjestelmän tarkistus kohdassa asennuksen jälkeen .
pitääks se olla sitten siinä oma valinta kohdassa vai missä?Mulla tuli heti suomenkielisenä,kai se vanha kielipaketti asentui itsekseen.
Vielä lopuksi minkätakia ne etsittävät tiedostot lisääntyy koko ajan vaikka koneelle ei olekaan asennettu mitään uutta?
vaikka on ruksi kohdassa oma valinta -->sopeuta-->levyt ja kansiot ja sieltä vaikka kaikki koneessa olevat asemat. On todella nopeampi verrattuna vanhaan versioon.
Ja siitä huolimatta käy enemmän tiedostoja läpi !

Language filen kohdalta ei löydy kuin english ja english (default).
Siinähän oli iso liuta kieliä ryksattuna asennuksen aikana. Ei kait niille pitänyt mitään tehdä?

Uudet viitetiedosto-päivitykset eivät toimi täydellä "teholla" vanhassa versiossa.
Tästä johtuen uudet viitetiedosto-päivitykset tulevat ainoastaan uuteen versioon 181.Aikaisemmat versiot eivät näe näitä päivityksiä.
Joku voi suomentaa tarkemmin jos haluaa...
