live in Finland for five years, you must apply beforethe end of May, and your application has to be in the Finnish embassy by then - it's not enough to have the postage stamp dated then.
Cost is over 300€ per person, if I remember correctly.

for not being clear enough. I have been following the situation for several years (way before dual citizenship was an option) waiting for the sign from the sky - I guess.
My family did send the applications to the consulate, paid the $ 274 fee (240 Euros), and will sit and wait the next 6 months. The deadline, according to the NY embassy personnel, has been extended to June 2nd.
I just thought people might share their experiences, whys and whynots. We are probably never going to move back to Finland, but the citizenship that we lost automatically - the though regaining it back, is pleasing.

First you claim that a Finnish b*tch is married to a black guy, and then she wants a citizenship for her boyfriend! Add to that the fact that that black husband/boy friend would need to reside and work 5 years in Finland prior to being eligible for a Finnish citizenship … pearls to porcupines
