But three points here. First, we must be coordinated – we should avoid a rash of national initiatives which simply displace the problems elsewhere in the Union. Secondly, we must target our alleviation efforts on the worst hit segments of the fleet."

Barroson lausuma on monella tavalla valaiseva ja mielenkiintoinen, koska se myös kertoo kuinka äärettömän byrokraattinen ja kankea EU on ja että se todella puuttuu jäsenvaltioiden sisäpolitiikkaa kaikilla mahdollsilla sektoreilla.
