Minulla on uusi kovalevy jonka formatoin tietämättäni XP koneella NTFS muotoon. Kyseinen kovalvy tulee koneeseen, johon on tarkoitus asentaa Windows 98. Tätä varten tarvitaan FAT32 muoto.
Millä ohjelmalla saisin tuon NTFS muodon FAT32 muotoon? Kaupallisella Partition Magicilla tuo onnituisi ilmeisesti, mutta onko jotain ilmaisohjelmaa olemassa? Apuja, kiitos!

Formatoit uudelleen ja valitset tiedostojärjestelmäksi FAT32. - ti levy on vielä
tyhjä joten formatoit vaan uudelleen.
Kyllä XP osaa formatoida myös FAT32:ksi.- Kiirus

XP ei suostu formatoimaan 32Gb suurempia partitioita FAT32:lle.
Linux-levyllä tai Win98:n käynnistyslevyllä kone käyntiin, ja sitten formatoimaan FAT32 muotoon. Vaihtoehtoisesti osioit sen levyn 32Gb paloihin.

löysin tällaisen ilmaisen ohjelman, jolla itsekin ensin osioin ulkoisen aseman kahdeksi. Levyllä oli tavaraa ja jätin sen NTFS osioon ja toisen osion muutin FAT32 muotoon. Ennen osiointia suoritin aseman eheytyksen (en tiedä onko tarpeen) Linkki ohjeman lataussivulle:

Unknown to almost everyone, the command-line FORMAT.EXE utility, installed with every copy of Windows operating system, will be more than happy to help you format your drive to FAT32. All you have to do is open up the command prompt and issue the following command:
format drive /fs:fat32
Substitute drive parameter with the drive letter of the drive you want to format into a FAT32 volume. After answering a few confirmation questions, Windows will start to format your large disk to FAT32; no special program needed. :-)

Elikkä ymmärrän kaiken tuohon "format _kirjain_/fs:fat32" asti, mutten ymmärrä mikä tuo _kirjain_ on.
Ulkoinen kovoni on "Paikallinen levy (I:)", eli kirjoitanko komentokehotteeseen tällöin
format I /fs:fat32
Jos kirjoitin väärin, niin voisiko joku kertoa tarkan komennon.
