Mikä on KAIKISTA RESURSSEJA VÄHITEN KULUTTAVA VIRUSTORJUNTA? PALOMUURI JA SELAIN???? Aattelin jos ottasin jonkun vanhan version tai oon jo ottanu ei sais kuluttaa paljoa enempää kun 5 megaa. Miten päivittäminen nois jos ottaa vanhan version niin suojaako se enää sitten jos on vanha versio? Jos et tiedä vastausta kysymykseeni tai ole ammattilainen ÄLÄ pliis vastaa tiedän ja varmaan monelle muullekkin tullu selväks perusjutut avaksesta zonesta nod32 ym.
Mulla on 2000 käyttis 233 prosessorilla jos on 64 muistia.
Ja sit viel yks kysymys että pystyykö tähän noin 7 vuotta vanhaan koneeseen vaihtamaan 1.7ghz prosessorin tain edes 512 ram muistin?`2 vuotta vanhasta acer koneesta. Tää kone on compaqarmada 1573D. Voi muuten kysellä jos haluis ostaa tän kannettavan tai saman tehosen pöytäkoneen

Opera ja Comodo on palomuuriksi ihan hyvä.
Jos todella haluat olla turvassa viruksilta ja haittaohjelmilta, niin voithan vaihtaa käyttäriksi turvallisen ja luotettavan Linuxin.
Itse olen asentanut vastaavantehoiseen koneeseen SuomiKnoppixin, vaikka suosituksen mukaan Knoppix vaatiikin vähintään 128Mt ram-muistia.
Yksi kevyt vaihtoehto on myös Xubuntu, ja myös monia muitakin löytyy jos kiinnostusta riittää.

kun käännät modeemista muurin päälle.
Jos surffailu on XXL-sivuja enimmäkseen, sitten lisäksi edellisen vastaajan mukaan, näinhän se pro-tasolla meneekin :)
Noi ei oo todellakaan keveinpiä mutta panin koneeseen avg vanhan version jonkun tiny firewallin kanssa ja voin kertoa että taitaa olla lähes kevyin vaihto ehto mitä voi olla! Kuluttaa yhteensä 10 megaa rammia mikä on ainakin tublasti vähemmän kuin opera ja comodo. Selaimeksi otin avaksen vai mikä se oli se on aika kevytt mut pitää ettiä viel. Noi suoja ohjelmat ei kyl oo mitään parhaasta päästä
mistä löytää noita vanhempia ja kevyempiä palomuureja ja selaimia.

Älä puhu paskaa
virustorjuntana Aviran AntiVir personal edition - versio 8.2.0.337 ja Palomuurina ZA:n vanha 2.6.362 W2K:ssa. Tehtävien hallinnan mukaan näyttävät kuluttavan muistia reilut 26 megaa. Kone on vanha Compaqin torni AMD:n 550 Mhz:n prossulla ja reilulla 300 megalla muistia. Hyvin skulaa. Selain tosin on "kaikkien" halveksima IE6SP1, joka tosin vie muistia n. 40 megaa. Aika syöppö!
64 megaa muistia W2K:ssa on kyllä hyvin vähän, hyvä kun aikoinaan pyöritti edes W95:sta.
Merkkivalmistajien muisti on valitettavasti yleensä laitekohtaista ja näin Acerin muisti Compaqiin ei todennäköisesti toimi. Mutta muisti on nykyään halpaa ja suosittelen käyntiä esim. Kingstonin sivulla selvittämässä Compaqin malliin sopivan muistin tiedot/saatavuuden ja muistin tilaamista esim verkkokauppa.com:sta.
Toisaalta voit tietysti ottaa muistipalikan Acerista ja kokeilla sitä Compaqissa, tiedä vaikka skulaisi. Muistien asennuksen jälkeen niiden toimivuus kannattaa kokeilla esim. MemTest-ohjelmalla, jonka voi ladata esim. Download.com sivustolta. Kaikki muistikompinaatiot kun eivät aina toimi yhdessä hyvin ja em. ohjelmalla nämä ongelmat tulevat ajoissa esiin.

Ei tollaiset maalaismoukat mitään virustorjuntaa tarvi. Tuskin niillä on edes sähköjä - lähetti tuonkin viestin varmaan kännykästään katseltuaan tietokoneita ollessaan ostamassa silavaa suuressa kaupungissa :)
