Love Story 3. The Artwork
I have been lucky to work with some extremely talented, stubborn, forward thinking and artistic illustrators and graphic designers in the last 10 years of our agency’s history.
Opening an attachment on an email from Ville Savimaa, has surprised me and put a smile on my face many times. Although he has never been into the so called “scene” I have been into my whole adult life, his perception of my world seems very clear. How can he possibly understand the whole history of a venue, brand, DJ or record label by hearing my short instructions and weirded out explanations and come up with something that has so much more then I even thought about? I think it is because he is smart, gentle and holds an open mind and heart…
Ville is easily one of my favorite illustrators in Finland. Not only because of his beautiful art, but because interacting with him is inspiring. Ville has, and still could work for Helsinki’s top advertising agencies, but prefers to take the little work that comes across him and focus on things he enjoys doing. He’d rather be eating noodles for the whole month and continue to draw out his emotions, than to design another newspaper add for some a product he would never even think of using… That’s what I call uncompromising passion for your work and what Ville would probably call “the only way he can live”.
I don’t really think I have learned much about the graphical design methods or technological possibilities out there, but each time I learn more about myself and receive a better understanding of the different types of people that fill our world. I can hardly wait for the next opportunity to be inspired by the amazing people that fill our city with beauty.

We could not believe that our LOVE would grow so fast and so strong. This summer Helsinki, once again, proved how amazing its people are. How beautiful it all feels, when we simply throw our covers away and let everything shine.
We were all a part of an historic day, full of sun, smiles, champagne, queens of pop and legends of the clubs. Over 85 000 people were a part of the biggest concert ever organized in Finland, and 1600 of you continued into the night, making sure that this day will be remembered forever.
You were striking a pose with La Persé, cooling your hot body when the CO2 ice cannon erupted, reaching towards the beating lights and feeling your chest vibrate to the sounds of true legends. But most of all, you created an energy that can only be described as LOVE. Although our next event will be set in the winter, don't forget that it is up to us to continue shining every single day. There are no limits to where it will take us.
