Rumors swirl about possible greatest hits album titled #1's

Rumors have begun swirling on the internet that Janet will be releasing a greatest hits album titled #1's later this year after two respected websites reported that such an album will be released on November 17.

Yesterday morning, music industry website AllAccess.com began listing in the upcoming releases section of their site an album by Janet with that title as being released that day by A&M/Interscope Records.

Last night, AOL's Radio Blog not only reported the same exact thing, but also said that the new track "Make Me" would appear on such an album as well:

Janet Jackson dropped her first single 'Make Me,' off her upcoming album, '#1's' -- a two CD set comprised of 30 global number-one hits. The album is set to release on Nov. 17, but you can listen to the disco-sounding single (which references lyrics from Michael Jackson's 1979 hit 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough') on AOL Radio's New Pop First station.


There has been no official announcements yet about whether a greatest hits album is indeed true.
