SKYTRAX: Passengers give full marks to Finnair cabin staff

Voting in the Skytrax 2009 World Airlines Awards survey, passengers have chosen Finnair's cabin crew as the best in Northern Europe. Helsinki airport was also voted best for baggage delivery in the Skytrax World Airports Awards.

Skytrax awards are regarded as the most prestigious and accurate gauge of passenger satisfaction in the business, so the award to Finnair of Best Cabin Staff - Northern Europe is great recognition of the airline's efforts to be the best airline overall in Northern Europe. Finnair is also a four-star airline in the Skytrax rankings, confirming it as one of the top performing airlines in terms of passenger service. Finnair's oneworld partners British Airways and Cathay Pacific were also successful - the former for Best Cabin Staff in Western Europe, the latter as Airline of the Year overall.

In the equally prestigious and strictly-judged Skytrax Airport of the Year Awards, Finnair's base Helsinki-Vantaa airport was voted best for baggage delivery. This represents an improvement over the third place achieved in 2008. Over 190 airports worldwide participate in the survey.
