Microsoftin historia 1980-luvun pikkuyrityksestä 2000-luvun horjuvaksi öykkärimäiseksi jättiläiseksi on monessakin suhteessa vanhaa tuttua kertomusta. Ennusteet eivät lupaa hyvää Microsoftille. Jos se ei muuta kurssiaan ja "löydä itseään uudelleen" sen tuhoutuminen on enää vain ajan kysymys. Jokatapauksessa yhtiön on lopulta tunnustettava että määräävään markkina-asemaan se ei enää koskaan pääse. Ne ajat ovat takanapäin.
