        Kun modeemi tekee osoitteen muunnoksen, se varastoi tiedon siitä mille sisäverkon koneelle lähteneen paketin vastaukset ohjataan. Tässä tapauksessa tämä reititysohje on poistettu vanhentuneena tai sitä ei alunperinkään ollut. Lokiin on sitten merkitty ettei datapakettia ole osattu toimittaa minnekään ja se on hävitetty.

        Syytä miksi kyseinen kone lähettää jatkuvasti reset-pyyntöä ei voi kuin arvailla. Yksi todennäköinen syy on se että kone on jonkinlaisen palvelinestohyökkäyksen kohteena.
