Ihan varovaisesti vastattu gandhilta, kun ajattelee, että jos hän olisi puhunut koko totuuden, niin mitenköhän olisi rauhantunnustelut onnistuneet muslimien kanssa.
Toisaalta jos olisi puhunut islamista täysin rehellisesti, niin voi olla ettei omat olisi tappaneet.
