Eli tarkoituksena olisi laittaa IE oletusselaimeksi.
Pääset paljon helpommalla kun et tee noiden ohjeiden mukaan, vaan avaat yhden Internet Explorer ikkunen ja siellä "Työkalut"> "Internetasetukset"> "Ohjelmat"-välilehdeltä tarkistat onko "Internet Explorer tarkistaa onko oletusselain" täppää, jos haluat selaimen oletusselaimeksi laitat siihen täpän, ja painat kaikiin avattuihin ikkunoihin "OK" ja sammutat selaimen. Tämän jälkeen IE on järjestelmän oletusselain.
Seuraavan kerran kun käynnistätä IE selain ohjelma kysyy, että haluatko IE:N olevan järjestelmän oletusselain, ja siihen sitten vastataan kyllä.
