I asked myself
“Where I wanted to
be the most?”. I found
myself from the beach,
holding you in my lap,
my arms around you
and chest against
your back. There you
were, shivering from the cold
and moist of the Ocean.
There we were, listening
the roars, those overwhelming
whispers of eternity.
There I wanted to be,
sitting in the salty sand,
burying my face to your
hairs, breathing your scent,
holding you and feeling
your presence, stronger,
deeper, lasting. Your arms
embracing mine, smoothing,
and your lips kissing my
skin like there’s no tomorrow.
Once I carried you in my back,
once we ran together
when waves were chasing us,
we laughed and we were
standing there side by side
in the escaping sand, watching
the Ocean, its restless moving
and endless horizon.
But I’m not there. There’s
no beach, waves has died
long ago and you
are not here next to me.
Soon I’m gone,
but memory of you will stay,
until I fade away.
