MICHAEL Jackson will sell his 50 per cent stake in the Beatles’ back catalogue "in the next few days" in an effort to alleviate his financial woes, sources close to the pop star claimed yesterday.
A deal is reported to be "on the table" which would pay Jackson’s massive debts, stated in court documents to be $275 million (£146 million), in return for selling his interest in the Sony/ATV back catalogue, which includes half of the rights to more than 150 songs written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

Samaa juttua on pyöritetty siitä lähtien kun Michael osti nuo oikeudet. Toimittajat ja Beatles- fanit odottavat sitä hetkeä housut märkinä.
Tulevat pettymään pahasti. Kjäh.
Paul McCartney menetti oikeudet tuohon katalogiin jo 60-luvulla. Sitä tarjottiin hänelle moneen kertaan, mutta hän kieltäyti sillä "hän ei aio maksaa omista biiseistään". Julmaahan se on, mutta tälläistä bisnes on.
Kun katalogi tuli sitten myyntiin 80-luvulla, Michael vihjasi Paulille että aikoo laittaa tarjouksen katalogista. Tietääkseni Paul ei tuolloinkaan aikonutkaan ostaa sitä. Michael tarjosi eniten rahaa ja sai katalogin itselleen.
Siitä lähtien Paul on aina katkerasti märissyt katalogin perään ja samalla vittuillut Michaelille sen ostamisesta. Ihan niinkuin Michael olisi varastanut sen juuri Paulin nenän alta... Hoh hoijaa... O_o
