The X-Files Win95 Startup/Shutdown Screens
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This zip file contains some X-File Startup/Shutdown screens for Window 95
and Windows 98 users. You can edit these to your liking by opening them in
Microsoft Paintbrush. This archive contains three files:
* LOGO.SYS (Starting Windows 95...)
* LOGOW.SYS (Please wait while your computer shuts down)
* LOGOS.SYS (Its now safe to turn off your computer)
Installation Instructions
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Create a new directory anywhere using Windows Explorer or File Manager
Please copy the following system files to this diretory to backup your
existing Startup/Shutdown screens, just incase you (or sumone else) do
not like the screens.
LOGO.SYS from your C:
LOGOW.SYS from your C:Windows
LOGOS.SYS from your C:Windows
* Now copy the files in this archive to your system directories to turn
on your X-File screens. If your computer says that these files already
exist you can overwrite it, because we have already made backup copies
LOGO.SYS to C:
LOGOS.SYS to C:Windows
LOGOW.SYS to C:Windows
* BooooM! Your new X-File screens are now active. The next time you shut
or start your computer, your computer will know the truth! These scre-
ens are absolutely safe, I have tried them on my computer, but still
do not take any responsibility of any harm done to your computer. You
can always mail me at [email protected] if you have any problems.
