Se minkä halusin keskustelun avauksessani tuoda esille, oli se että Mariah kaikkien aikojen menestynein artisti mitä tulee albumi-myyntiin ja voitettuihin (-osittain myös muuten saavutettuihin Grammy-palkinto ehdokkuuksiin, joita melkein joka vuosi useita yms) palkintoihin.
Mariahilla eniten myytyjä albumeja suhteessa muihin. Palkintojen ja Grammy ehdokkuuksien määrä kokoneisuudessaan vielä vahvistaa Mariahin asemaa.
(2006-vuoden palkintojakin tulee varmasti taas roppakaupalla)

Kun lähdetään vertailemaan artisteja, on hyvä huomata myös se, että kuinka monta levyä ko artisti on julkaissut. Madonnalta on tullut 16 levyä, Janetilta 9, Mariahilta 14. Eli emme voi verrata heitä toisiinsa, kun albumeja on tullut niin eri verran. Suhteessa Janet on myynyt enemmän, koska levyjä on tullut melkein puolet vähemmän, kun esim Madonnalta. Mutta näitä asioita ei tosiaan voi verrata. Eli on aivan turha lähteä kiistelemään siitä, kuka on myydyin ja kuka on suosituin. Kaikille löytyy oma fanipohjansa ja kaikki mainitut ovat jo nyt tehneet valtavan musiikkiuran.

Madonnanlta on tullut yhteensä 16 albumia, joita on myyty 175 milj. kappaletta, eli yhtä albumia on myyty keskimäärin 11 milj.
Janetin luku tulee 9:stä albumista, joita myyty 80 milj. kappaletta, eli yhden albumin keskimääräinen myynti on ollut 9 milj.
Mariah Carey on tehnyt 14 albumia, joita on myyty yhteensä 180 milj. kappaletta, joilloin yhden albumin keskimääräinen myynti on ollut 13 milj.
Eli näistä kolmesta laulajasta Janet on kuitenkin myynyt vähiten - vaikka suhteutettaisiin...

No toi oliki vaa sun mielipide. Toi vikinä muu pla pla pla juttu on vähä syvältä hei! mariahilla on multisopraano ääni vai mikä olikaa eli hännen äänialansa on yli 5-oktaavinen joka ylittyy yli pianon näppäimistön. joten tämä sun "kimitys" on just kaunista ja erittäin taivaallista kuunneltavaa. ihme juntti kansaa suomi. just kukaa suomalaine ei osaa laulaa. kattoisitte jotain Mariahin live esiintymisii ni näkisitte mite se OIKEESTI käyttää ääntään. :D
Ao. äänenaukaisuartistin (jonka kaikki biisit ovat ala-C:stä yl'-Chen ja takaisin lallattelua, minkä muut artistit tekevät pukuhuoneessa, ja lavalle päästyään alkavat laulaa oikeasti) suosio osoittaa sen, miten äärettömän huono musiikkimaku rahvaalla on.
Madonna on kaikkistta pop-tähdistä kirkkain. eniten palkintoja,ehdokkuksia,diilejä,myytyjä levyjä,kansikuvia,listahittejä,mainetta...kaikkea...ei tarvitse olla edes mikään madonna-fani voidakseen myöntää tämän...
Mariahilla on kirkkaasti enemmän ykköshittejä ku Madonnalla. Mariahilla niitä on 17 ja Madonnalla muistaakseni 11.
