you could say that it's a scout "trip" where *vartiolainen*s' skills are tested. In *riihitys* *vartiolainen*s do all the things what they have learned during the last year. After *riihitys* they get marks on their *vartolainen*'s book which tells that they have done it. *Riihitys* is not a usually competition, but in some cases it may be. There is three degrees of difference, and the last one is done alone with one or two friends.
