"It has been noted in many Hadith that during his occultation, - the Mahdi is similar to the sun obstructed by the clouds. In this state the naked eye can detect the rays of the sun shining from behind the clouds. As stated by Imam Ali in Nahju’l-Balaghah (#150):
"Be aware that our representative who shall receive the inspiration, shall revolve with an illuminating light. He will act according to the methods of the pious in order to resolve problems, rescue the captive, disperse certain crowd, and gather together the dispersed, in a state hidden from the people. As they search for him, people fail to trace his presence."
"Whether he says "I am the Mahdi and I am here" or not - then certainly only Allah KNEW the time of his return, but OBVIOUSLY at some point that knowledge will be revealed, not only to the Ummah at large, but first to his Inner Circle of 12 (11 and his Wazir), and then to the 313 Taliyah Al-Mahdi."

When the followers of the anti-Christ see that their leader has been slain they will scatter far and wide; the siege will be over and Prophet Jesus will receive the Caliphate.
Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, will reject and correct the falsities introduced into Christianity and follow the way of Prophet Muhammad, praise and peace be upon him. He will marry, father children and when he dies, he will be buried next to Prophet Muhammad, in Medina."

So Al Mahdi will say to him (to Jesus):
'Come forward and lead the people in prayer.'
But he (Jesus) will answer:
'The Call to Prayer has been made for you to lead.'
So he will pray behind a man from my children."

IRANIN PRESIDENTTI ODOTTAA MAHDIN PALUUTA
Joseph Farahin WorldNetDaily kertoi 6.1.2006 Iranin presidentin, Mahmoud Ahmadinejadin, mystisistä lopunajan tapahtumia koskevista käsityksistä. Samainen Ahmadinejad on jo aiemmin herättänyt ällistystä väitteillään, että juutalaisten joukkotuhoa ei koskaan tapahtunutkaan tai että Israel pitäisi pyyhkiä pois maailman kartalta.
Sen sijaan Iranin presidentin uskonnollinen into apokalyptisissä asioissa on jäänyt vähemmälle huomiolle. Ahmadinejad kertoo kokeneensa merkillisen valoilmiön viime syyskuussa YK:ssa pitämänsä puheen aikana. Kun hän aloitti sanoilla "Allahin nimeen", oli vihreä valo tullut hänen ympärilleen ikään kuin suojaksi. Ahmadinejad kokee olevansa jonkinlainen Johannes Kastajan vastine. Hänen tehtävänsä on valmistaa tietä imaami Mahdin (shiialaisten odottama Messias) loistavalle jälleenilmestymiselle. Shiialaisten mukaan 12. imaami hävisi lapsena vuonna 941. Kun imaami palaa takaisin, hän tulee hallitsemaan maailmaa seitsemän vuoden ajan, minkä jälkeen tulee tuomio ja maailmanloppu. Ahmadinejad kehottaa iranilaisia valmistautumaan Mahdin tulemukseen muuttamalla Iran voimakkaaksi ja kehittyneeksi yhteiskunnaksi välttämällä korruptiota ja lännen liiallisuuksia.
Koko Iran puhuu Mahdista ja siitä roolista, mikä Iranilla ja Ahmadinejadilla on hänen odotetun paluunsa suhteen. Mahdin odotetaan aloittavan taistelun hyvän ja pahan välillä sekä tuovan maailmaan vihdoinkin rauhan ja oikeudenmukaisuuden. Tämä iranilaisten ja varsinkin heidän presidenttinsä odottama Mahdi on todellakin tulossa.
Kyseessä ei ole kuitenkaan oikea Rauhan Ruhtinas, vaan ensin ilmestyvä väärä messias, joka hallitsee Raamatunkin ilmoituksen mukaan seitsemän vuotta. Tuloksena ei ole kuitenkaan kuin väliaikainen ja hetkellinen rauha, koska tämä Mahdi ei ole Jumalasta vaan Saatanasta innoituksensa saava Antimessias eli Antikristus. Kun Antikristus ilmestyy, monet kristityt pitävät häntä takaisin tulleena Kristuksena, monet juutalaiset ottavat hänet vastaan Messiaana, monet muslimit tervehtivät häntä odotettuna Mahdina ja monet hindut pitävät häntä kaivattuna Maitreyana. Kuitenkin kyseessä on ihmiskunnan viimeinen eksyttäjä, pettäjien pettäjä, valemessias, Saatanan syvyyksistä valonsa ja voimansa saava Peto eli Antikristus. Iranin presidentin intoilu tulevan Mahdin odotuksen lietsomiseksi on yksi selvä ajanmerkki. Apokalyptiset lopunajat ovat lähestymässä.
Ottamatta kantaa Iranin presidentin uskonnollisiin kokemukseen ( joka kuvattu on vähemmän räväkkä kuin vaikka P. Antoniuksen .)totean, että Mahdi kävi jo maanpäällä.
