German-Language Rumor Mill: Audi’s New Products

The bilingual boys at The German Car Blog relate a report from Auto Motor und Sport that Audi could be preparing several new vehicles in an offensive against rivals BMW, Porsche and Ferrari (though not all at once).
Among the vehicles churning from the rumor mill are an A3 convertible, a new TT (2006) TT Roadster (2007) and S-tuned model, TTS, with a 3.6-liter TFSI engine (2008). A new RS6 supersedan, sporting a twin-turbo V10(est.650hp), will reportedly follow in 2007 or 2008. Also, Lamborghini apparently won’t be left out of the ultra-luxury SUV market, with talk of a Q7-based Lambo, or the fledgling four-door coupe market, with a possible revival of the 1968 Espada coup� 4-seater. We’ll see. Though, of all the platform sharing possibilities in the world, a Q7 Lambo would be about as well considered as a Dodge Neon CLK.
