aivan ei ole enää service national mutta on yksi päivä missä selitetään nuorille mitä on heille mahdollista tehdä. ammatilaisena tai vapaaehtoisena.

"Service National" has also been called "Service Militaire", Military Service. But this doesn't exist anymore.
All French citizens must nowadays be registered and do this "national service " which is only one day at school where some professionals come to speak about the Army and the meaning of a professional army.
This "information" day is not really obligatory, but it's better to get it. Without it you can't get your driving exams, it's more difficult to find a job....
