My mother is from Canada and my dad's from Finland. I spoke fluent english when I was a small child but then I had to go to school (and we didn't have special schools around us) so I went to a normal Finnish speaking school. So all the homework and tests were in finnish and I didn't have to use english anymore.
Now I'm 16 and I've realized that I am afraid to speak english to people. And i lost my Canadian accent. I feel really sad because english was the first language I learned.
I just wanted to tell this. It is a real pity I lost my ability to speak english.

Et menettänyt mitään. Käyt joskus Kanadassa, olet siellä vähän aikaa ja kyllä muistot varhaisesta lapsuudesta tuovat aksenttisi takaisin!
the accent, it will come back in three weeks after you move back. I'm more worried about your written English: use capital letters for the names of languages, please! Thank you!
