Hi,with some help from my Finnish friend i´ve learned how to use this chatforum.
The thing i´m concerned about is that my Finnish friend who lives here in Kokkola told me that the people living here are violent and very rasistic and have no respect for foreigners.
Why is that so?
I´m just a visitor here for a while,so i´m realy interested to understand why you people think like that.

Those of us who grew up in a small town will laugh when we read this. Those of you who didn't will be in disbelief... but trust me every one of these is true.
What is this bullshit about racists ?We were talking in the adult parents classes about being racist or not, I got the impression by the conversation than in Finland there are towns that are consired more racists than others, I always thought that it was people who are racist and not towns.Kokkola is safety small town.

i think it all depends upon we, the foreigner. I am student from Nepal and I have been living here for about 3 years and studying at Keski- Pojanmaan AMK. And I should say proudly that I have not felt any racism here. Instead people are so helpful. Last time I lost my way to a work place and I asked to some of them and they were so helpful. If they would think I am Asian then they would even not speak with us. The problem with most of us is we want Equality... i think its not good. Its the country of Finn ... its their country and you are a visitor. Dont expect much , its not your own country. And who says Finns are racist? Look at your own country and look at yourself, never forget to look yourself before you blame other.
Even in your own country there is racism. Its a temporary place , why would anyone bother.. .. minä rakastän Kokkola..
