"Let's face it--EA Sports could have gone and made a quick-and-dirty port of its most famed franchise for the Wii and it still would have sold by the truckload (for reference, see Madden NFL 07 for the PS3). Instead, the developers at EA Canada went and did a curious thing: They took Madden and actually made a better game. Madden 07's exciting, responsive controls added much-needed flavor to the series and is proof that with a bit of dedication and creativity, even the most staid franchises can be improved upon. It also makes a strong case that, yes, traditional team-based sports series have a future on a Nintendo console, something we haven't been able to say in a long time."
