Nine Lives

Nine livesin heikkous on, että se on hieman sillisalaatti. Liikaa biisejä eikä selkeätä linjaa. Toisaalta levyllä on joitakin aivan mainioita biisejä kuten pink ja the farm.

Mielestäni Nine Lives on Aerosmithin TOP 5 parhaiden albumien joukossa. Sanoitukset, äänet jne huippuluokkaa. Tarkkailkaa mm. kappale Ain't that a bitch...

"Then you feel so out of place
Lickinup the arsenic
From the same old lace
You know the stuff is poison
But you gotta have a taste

Freak out! Im alone now
I feel just like Im losin my mind
cause love is like the right dress
On the wrong girl
You never know what youre gonna find
You think youre high and fine as wine
Then you wind up with your face in the ditch
cause love is like a warm gun
On a cold night ... yeah
Aint that a bitch"

...TAI Something's gotta give...

"Something's gotta give
Tell me when to turn the screw
Does the noise in my head bother you
Something's gotta give
Don't you like it
Tell me true
Does the noise in my head bother you
Something's gotta give
Hold your breath til you turn blue
Does the noise in my head bother you
Something's gotta give
Comic books are comin' true"

Miinusta albumille tuo myöhemmissä versioissa albumille lisätty kappale "I don't want to miss a thing", joka ei mielestäni sovi ollenkaan tälle levylle eikä sen teemaan.
