Mitä ihmettä sille koneelle on tehty?
old white but burned Chrysler is now Merc!
Short History of Chrysler/Force:
Most of you have never heard of West Bend or Elgin outboard engines. The tooling for those engines was sold to Chrysler in January 1965. Thus combining the two companies was made effective in 1966. At that time, Chrysler Marine was a full service boat building entity. Name it and they built it.
Surprisingly, Chrysler Marine took two years to sell! It was not really up on the list for things to shed after Iaccoca took over. It went on the block in 1982, finally finding a buyer in Force Outboards. Force is owned by U.S. Marine. They in turn were eventually sold to Brunswick Corporation. Brunswick is the parent of Mercury Marine. So, Force outboards have Chrysler and West Bend engine technology in them. As a note, Chrysler also built engines for Montgomery Ward, Western Auto, Wizard (Div of Western Auto) and Eaton.
Force is the worst everbuilt outboard engine.
