Muistaako joku sen linkin jossa joku jenkkiläinen kaveri on rakennellut punaista ng 900 turboa? Aika paljon onkin saanut aikaan, ohjeita, kuvia jne...

Just tää, kiitti.
Joo, kaveri on rakennellut NG900:aan melkomoisesti.
232 hp at the wheels
That’s what I put down at the SOC this weekend. Met up with Frank Strömqvist. He gave me a more aggressive ECU program and upped the rev-limiter to 7000 rpm. Power is extremely smooth all the way to the end. I am now producing more power with less boost. Max boost is only 18 psi now. I have over 220 whp from 5300-7000 rpm. I have more pictures and a video here,

I learned a lot from Frank, he is by far the greatest tuner out there. He took a stock aero with only a sport exhaust and gave it 270 whp and 310 ft-lbs just by programming the ECU.
>could you produce higher numbers safely?
I talked to Frank a lot about this and the answer is yes. But of course it comes down to money. With a T28 ball bearing turbo and larger injectors Frank can safely produce 310 crank horsepower. This is his Stage 4 for and is listed on his webpage. He also told me about his ~600 hp 2.0L, which safely produces a peak of 680 hp, but it is very expensive.
The new ECU that Frank made for me is actually safer for my tranny than the system that I was running before. Max torque is down from 277 ft-lbs to 225. It is a bit difficult to explain but less is more in this case. Ever since I started to modify my Saab I’ve been addicted to the huge torque rush at 3000, and I though this meant I had a lot of power. But I was wrong. All I was doing was slowly killing my tranny. I learned that boost does not simple equal power, it’s more complicated than that. Cranking up the boost to 25 psi, like I was doing before, gave me less horsepower than the new programmed max of 18 psi. If you are serious about tuning your Saab you need to get in contact with Frank.
