Hyvännäköinen, tosi linjakas kori ja takakontti yllättävän suuri.
Passat CC ja tämä pitäisi vertailla mutta kyllähän A5 on sentään Audi.

Kannattaa muistaa, että A5 oli jumbona englantilaisessa laatututkimuksessa tässä jokin kk sitten. Siis ihan viimeisenä kaikista mahdollisista autoista. Ei ollut edes Pösöä, Volvoa tai Alfa Romeota takana...

Buyers looking for value will therefore have to cast their eyes further down the A5 range; those looking for the best driving coupe of this size, on the other hand, need look no further than the alternative offered by Audi's old Munich rival.

But it lacks the sparkle that all these smiling men should have given it.
Design first: yes, there are some great details (get those magical LED running lights, like luminous mascara). But it looks like it's sagging in the middle, and the big ol' Audi grille still doesn't do it for me.
Engines: yup, mark those up to a win. The V6 feels like has deeper lungs than a BMW three-litre, and it's a lot smoother than Merc's V6. The V6 diesel is a bit of a triumph too.
And the chassis has nice accurate new steering. But all-new layout or not, the A5 corners like an old-school Audi. Gentle but unavoidable understeer, little sense of fun, no tweakability at the limit. Audi keeps telling us they make sporty cars, but in the chassis department, they don't really. Fast, easy to drive hard, but not inspiring.
So put Walter's Latin emotion on hold. This is still a bit of a po-faced car.

Driven hard, the TT is a good companion, with good body and wheel control, and it is not too uncomfortable either. Multitronic on parhaita mahdollisia vaihteistoja ja Audi/VAG on osannut jo
pitkään tehdä vääntäviä ja tehokkaita turbokoneita.

Unfortunately, all of these are slightly blunted by Audi’s fabulously precise but lifeless steering.
While it weighs up nicely going into corners and feels really sharp, it doesn’t give you a clue about how much grip you’ve got left.

The S5’s case takes a bit of a dive when it comes to money. Nice although it is, it’s going to have serious difficulty justifying itself next to the considerably cheaper BMW 335i Coupe, which is almost as fast, far more practical and still better to drive.
Buyers looking for value will therefore have to cast their eyes further down the A5 range; those looking for the best driving coupe of this size, on the other hand, need look no further than the alternative offered by Audi's old Munich rival.

But what I cannot see it doing is persuading those to whom driving pleasure matters very much to forsake their BMWs for it. A 335i coupé is perhaps a little slower, but only a fool presumes that speed and fun are always the same.

And so the A5 is indeed a good drive.
But it lacks the sparkle that all these smiling men should have given it.
Design first: yes, there are some great details (get those magical LED running lights, like luminous mascara). But it looks like it's sagging in the middle, and the big ol' Audi grille still doesn't do it for me.
Engines: yup, mark those up to a win. The V6 feels like has deeper lungs than a BMW three-litre, and it's a lot smoother than Merc's V6. The V6 diesel is a bit of a triumph too.
And the chassis has nice accurate new steering. But all-new layout or not, the A5 corners like an old-school Audi. Gentle but unavoidable understeer, little sense of fun, no tweakability at the limit. Audi keeps telling us they make sporty cars, but in the chassis department, they don't really. Fast, easy to drive hard, but not inspiring.
So put Walter's Latin emotion on hold. This is still a bit of a po-faced car.

Unfortunately the TT's steering is lacking in any real feel, in an attempt to isolate feedback no doubt, but it is well weighted. Driven hard, the TT is a good companion, with good body and wheel control, and it is not too uncomfortable either. The structure didn't feel as rigid as in the Nissan 350Z (though that car has a rear strut brace where passengers might sit), and the TT certainly doesn't provide the same pure driving experience a rear-wheel drive car can.

Even with a 4.2 litre 450bhp twin-turbo V8 it can’t match more charismatic offerings from BMW, Jaguar and Mercedes. But don’t dismiss the Audi, being bland is not the same as being bad. The A6 is not a bad car.
Putting a 4.2 litre V8 in a car this size should be a recipe for fun but the extra weight and the lifeless steering conspire to produce a car that is less than the sum of its parts.

No question, this A4 is an improvement over the old in terms of engine refinement, ride, handling, packaging, fuel economy and feature availability. Yet it’s hard to avoid concluding that this car is not enough of a step forward over the old A4, especially as Audi has gone to the expense of developing a new platform for it.
It is not good enough to topple the 3-series, and in many respects, such as its driving position, handling and the weighting of its controls, it is inferior to the cheaper Ford Mondeo.

Itse juuri vaihdoin A3:n jota pidin 7 vuotta uudempaan Audiin, nyt tuli A4. Mitään vikoja ei esiintynyt koko 7 vuoden aikana. Jarrupalat, polttimot ja pyyhkijänsulkia piti vaihtaa, ei muuta.

Itseasiassa 4-ovinen on pidempi kuin 2-ovinen ja se rauhoittaa käyttäytymistä,
parempi ajaa kenties jopa.

Mulla on 330d, se ei muuten ole bemararin parhaimmistoa edes dieseleissä. A5 eikä mikään muukaan Audi pärjää sille millään mittarilla, mukaanlukien 3.2 FSI Quattro ja 3.0 TDI quattro, poislukien bensakoneet S ja RS ja R (viime mainitut voidaan ottaa mukaan kulutus- ja päästökisaan). Missä on teknistä etumatkaa? Kysymys siis on; Missä on teknistä etumatkaa? Siis missä ihan oikeasti on teknistä etumatkaa? Se tuskin on teknistä etumatkaa, että auto on a) etana b) päästöhirmu c) öljyä joutuu kaatamaan koneeseen kaiken aikaa

...että ei vois vähempää kiinnostaa, mitä viiksenhaituviaan kasvattavat kakarat puhuvat auton kiihtyvyydestä. Itselleni on aivan se ja sama, kiihtyykö auto 6 vai 7 sekuntiin. Itse tilaan mahdollisesti A5:n siitä syystä, että se on mielestäni paljon paremman näköinen kuin yksikään Bemari. BMW:ltä olen kokemusta vain X5:stä ja toissapäivältä X1:stä, jotka molemmat olivat korkeiden odotusten jäljiltä aivan suunnattomia pettymyksiä.
