AUTENZELL, Germany — G-Power, the BMW tuning specialist, is the latest firm to lay claim to "world's fastest production sedan" with its M5-based Hurricane RR.
The Hurricane RR set a speed record of 232.5 mph, while achieving a class-leading 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time of 4.35 seconds and 0-200 km/h (0-125 mph) in 9.5 seconds.
G-Power fitted the Hurricane RR with a twin-supercharged version of the M5's V10, developing 800 horsepower.
The Hurricane RR record car also swapped its standard 20-inch Michelins for 19-inch Pilot Sports — 255/35ZR19s in front and 305/30ZR19s in the rear.
